Hi folks,

I have a iMac 24² mid 2007 model and the logic board has failed.
Some advice would be appreciated if it is worth getting fixed, and also any
recommendations
of a repairer.

Cracked iPod Touch screen

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine has a iPod touch less than 12 months old and the screen has
been cracked.
I am pretty sure the apple warranty would not cover this.

Can anyone recommend or suggest someone who could fix this, and approx
costing?

Lion/Facebook uploading photos

Since updating to Lion, I now have a problem uploading my photos to Facebook
using Safari.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

Has anyone used the Apple iPhoto printing service?

I would like to get some photos printed, but have not been happy with
snapfish or the kmart kiosks.

iPhoto error 9459

Hi There,
I would really appreciate some help with this one.
I have searched Apple support groups to try an solve this, but I have had no
luck.

What I am trying to do is export a slideshow of 250 photos as a quicktime
movie.
It gets partly done then I get the error message OS status error 9459 the
operation couldn¹t be completed.

I have turned off the energy sleep and screen saver preferences.
I have also rebuild the iPhoto library by backup and launch iPhoto with the
Command+Option keys.

Any other thoughts/ideas?

Exporting in iPhoto

I have created a slideshow in iPhoto with the snapshots theme.
I now need to export this into iMovie to add in some extra bits to it.

Should I export the slideshow as a MPEG-4 or a Quicktime Movie?
Is there much difference between the two?

My brother purchased an Epson V350 that I have been using.
It scans 35mm filmstrips, and also does a great job with colour and B/W
It is great and very quick. I think he bought it from a computer shop at
www.myshopping.com.au
I think it was around the $200 or so mark

Thanks for the advise. My main reason was only to use a device for
conversion of home vhs movies, but as you said why wouldn't you get the
Elgato to do it and have the extras on the side.

What is the difference though between the Elgato Eye tv 250 plus and the
hybrid unit?
I am assuming if I purchased a Apple Tv I could transfer the files from the
Eyetv to the Apple TV.

Memory Help

Hi there.

I have a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac purchased Dec 2007
It has 2 x 1GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM inside.

I was considering upgrading to 4GB

If I purchased 2 x 2GB 1066Mhz DDR3 SDRAM will this work in my machine?

Would appreciate some help.

Missing from sidebar

Does anyone know how to put back into the Hard drive sidebar the Today,
Yesterday and Past week folders (with the round clock)
which are under the menu SEARCH FOR.
My brother accidently deleted these on his computer while playing.
Are they a kind of smart folder?
Some help would be appreciated.

Toast 8 Lip Sync Problem

Hi there,

I am having a problem with burning DVD's with Toast 8.
After I have burnt a DVD and play it in my domestic player there
is a lip sync problem.I have tried burning at a slower speed, but makes no
difference.What would be the best setting?
Could someone help with any suggestions.

Duplicate Messages

Could someone please help.
I am trying to unsubscribe my old email address from the list, but having

I will tell my brother to tread carefully.
I spoke to an executive at Apple just now and they are prepared to
check the serial number for me if the seller provides me with one.
She also advised there have been no reports of internal theft.
Apple also said there is no warranty if the seller is not an Certified
Australian wholesaler or retailer.

He did not win the winning bid, but the winning bid was AU $2550.

I emailed the seller to ask the question

Are you a Certified Australian wholesaler or retailer, for Apple
products?

He replied saying I am private seller.

Has anyone had any experiences buying off ebay?

I also have the latest version, but it seems the sizing of the ladder box is
not right. The refresh button is mashed over the second last team on the
ladder. Tears for Freo!! It is a bit hard to read. Melbourne hangs out of
the grid. Any ideas how to fix this?

Print Settings

Hi All,

I have a problem not been able to see a drop down menu for copies & pages
and inside that is the print setting, colour management etc.
Would this of happened since upgrading to 10.5.2 on my Intel core iMac

I have the latest printer driver for my epson stylus photo R230.

The application I need it most is in Photoshop version 8.

It is weird because it seems to appear in Entourage version 12

Can someone help please.

Has anyone in the group experienced using Vodafone's wireless mobile
broadband?
I am considering starting a plan $39 month plus free USB modem with 5GB
allowance month. 24mth contract offer expires 31 Dec 07.
The coverage is operated on the 3G network with fast downloads within the
areas.
Would only be using this within the 3G network areas.

I have previously bought my computers outright, but they become
obsolete so quickly these days.

I am considering doing a 2 day course on Dreamweaver at Desktop
Applications.
I am wondering if any WAMUGGERS have any feedback of people you know of or
