Hi everyone

when I signed up for .mac and noticed the $100 voucher from the apple
store it came with the following note at the bottom

*To qualify for this special Apple Store coupon offer in Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy,
Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the
United Kingdom, persons must subscribe to .Mac by purchasing an
annual membership by Oct. 31, 2002. If you become a member by Sept.
4, 2002 you will receive a coupon within 10 days. If you become a
member between Sept. 5, 2002 - Oct. 31, 2002 you will receive a
coupon in mid-November.

So if you signed up in the last week or so you wont get your discount
voucher until mid november.

I hope this helps

Charlie

Every attempt I make tells me that my Credit Card number is
"incorrect". How the hell would they know? This message comes back
simply as part of the form validation.

I suspect the problem lies in the fact that when I first subscribed, it
was not possible to do so with an non-US address, so I, like many
others, used a fake US one. I think the problem is that my Visa card
number is not matching some algorithm they've got going which matches
names, addresses and numbers. They're convinced I live in the US and I
cannot now tell them otherwise. Nothing I do will get them to accept my
Credit Card number. There's not even an area I can find to tell them my
address has "changed". Mac support is less than helpful.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.

Hmm. The .Mac account I renewed and paid for was my original one that
also had some other address (Canadian, I think). I used an Amex card
and Apple had no problem grabbing the money. I wish they would respond
to .Mac support queries as efficiently.

You mean you have actually been able to get them to accept your money?
Every attempt I make tells me that my Credit Card number is
"incorrect". How the hell would they know? This message comes back

I suspect the problem lies in the fact that when I first subscribed, it

Hi Larry,
I signed up on 20/08/2002 and have not received any $100 voucher.
I just made some purchases also & would have welcomed the $100
reduction.
