Re: Can't Install Flash

2014-07-04 Thread Ronni Brown
Hi Blitto,

The link you downloaded was for Flash Player 13, if you have Auto Update
enabled it should update that Flash Player to the current version which is
14.0.0.125.
If it hasn't updated click 'Check Now' in System Preferences > Flash Player -
Advanced.

Cheers,
Ronni

Re: Can't Install Flash

2014-07-04 Thread rblit
Thanks Ronni

SUCCESS!

It appears the new flash installer does not contain the package to do
the install.

The installer itself tries to download the package during the
installation.

For me this “retrieving install” process would not work

At this link you can download a full installer

Thank you RonniUnfortunately no luck. Here's what I've done:

restart

Checked System Prefs - there is no Flash Player pref (new laptop,
flash not previously installed)

go to adobe’s get flash download page

download it (tried both Safari and Firefox)

quit browser

launch flash installer

Installer progress window says “retrieving install" (progress bar
says 0%)

Installer seems to hang

nothing changes - even if i wait 5 minutes

have to Force quit the installer
