The music capitalists have been using civil court processes for quite some time
now to avoid having to prove guilt beyond all
reasonable doubt but yeah it's probably still alot of hype that they are
probably behind in the hopes that it will scare people
off.

Ruben

I would have thought that its up to them to prove any illegality, or
doesn't innocence until proven guilty count any more.

Very simple! You simply make sure that you carefully record and make
copies of all your iTunes receipts, together with all the receipts
for all the music you have ever purchased on the CDs or vinyl disks
you have bought over the past 30 years or so and might have copied
to your iPod for your own personal enjoyment , and make sure you
take them with you wherever you go - perhaps in your Passport wallet.

 What a ridiculous proposition!!

All that being as it may, how do they think they can tell if you
ripped any of it off? and are they going to be able to establish for
a fact that one track amongst a couple of thousand you may have on
your machine is suspect, also, If you choose to not give them an

Re: Customs

So what they are talking about may be this:
http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/rwpattach.nsf/VAP/(CFD7369FCAE9B8F32F341DBE097801FF)~Copyright+Fact+Sheet+-+customs+seizure+of+imported+infringing+copies.pdf/$file/Copyright+Fact+Sheet+-+customs+seizure+of+imported+infringing+copies.pdf

The 'easy' fact sheet looked to be double speak to me. Sounds like the
copyright owner can pay to have Customs seize the goods, and if they
don't pay then Customs don't seize the goods or require a 'security
payment' to seize the goods (?)

True :
There is another way !	When you leave Australia you supply to customs
a record of the
electronic equipment complete with a list of all the software loaded
on it/them .

Already there is a suggestion that you document electronic gear you
take out so that
on your return there is NO question that you are importing the gear
you took out .
