Off Topic - More Free Stuff

2011-09-29 Thread Manzie Greg
Hello Wamuggers

The Atari equipment has been taken and is going to a computer museum. Looks
like some of the Apple gear is going there too. I'm very pleased.

I am still cleaning out my shed and have more equipment if anyone is interested.

2 x Presentation Technologies, Montage FR1 units. These put digital information
onto 35mm film. They have a SCSI interface, built in 35mm camera and were very
expensive when new.

2 x Agfa Studio Scan A4 scanners. 1 x flat copy only and 1 x flat copy and
transparency film up to A4, an AgfaScan IIsi. Both also SCSI interface.

2 x Sharp SF 7850 analogue photocopiers. Standard office copiers with A4 A3
plus all the bells and whistles including document feeders etc.

1 x other major office copier with a similar pedigree.

Sadly they will all go to recycling tomorrow if no-one claims them.

They are in Mosman Park and can be picked up over the weekend if you definitely
want them.

The Agfa Studio Scan was, and still is, a high quality scanner. VueScan
http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/vuescan.htm#agfa will drive these scanners to
their fullest extent. However, you will need a Mac that has a SCSI port or a
SCSI card to do so. Unfortunately the Ratoc converter recommended by VueScan is
no longer made and nobody seems to still have any stock. There also seems to be
no alternative available, unless someone knows of a viable alternative.

It is a pity to see such great devices forced into obsolescence by lack of
connectivity.

Free Stuff - Scanners, A3 Analogue Photocopiers, CRT Monitors

2010-10-16 Thread Manzie Greg
Hello Wamuggers

I am having a big clean out today and tomorrow and the following items are free
to anyone who can use them.

Scanners

Please note that they all need a SCSI interface which is OK for old Macs if you
have a SCSI card installed.

1 x UMAX Astra 600s

1 x HP Scanjet 440c (also has USB interface)

1 x Agfa Studio Scan

1 x Agfa Studio Scan 2 si (AKA Agfa Studio Scan II si)

They were all working last time I tried them and I can probably round up the
original software.

Photocopiers

I also have 2 old analogue photocopiers both A3 and A4 capable. Do not have
computer interfaces.

2 x Sharp SF-7850 one working and one needing service.

Monitors

I also have a couple of CRT monitors 17 Multiscan from memory.

You should be able to find the specifications on Google.

They are located in Mosman Park and can be picked up any time this week. But if
no-one wants them they will go out on the verge tomorrow morning.

Please ring me any time on 0448844381.

Regards Greg

free stuff I posted last week - to those who claimed it....

2005-11-23 Thread Mark Secker

Sorry to those I didn't email back.

to those that I did email back saying that you were the first-in
successful folk

You will NEED to collect this stuff before Friday midday at the
ABSOLUTE latest and preferably before 5:00 Thursday (tomorrow).

anything not collected by then will be disposed of simply because I
have rescued it out of a store room (which is going back to being
office space) where everything was being thrown in to a skip bin and
these items are now taking up my cramped office space. So when the
skip is collected Friday if it's still in my office I'm going to
have to ditch them.

gone to the tip!

Vintage computers and free stuff

Free! Free! Free!

Vintage computers and assorted old software. There is an Amstrad, an
Ollivetti a Mac Plus and Mac SE. Ideally, I want a collector who will take
all the computers.

Also free are some cream vertical window blinds which can be restored to
working order or recut to size by some handy person.

Also free is a single bed with mattress. The ends are of rare WA banksia
veneer.

Small painted wood desk with drawers and leg space which would support an
Imac and keyboard. Free!
