i'm sure your dv camera has an a/v out, there are screens available  
you can connect to your camera, this way may allow you to use the  
larger screen during the shooting & replay
just look for screens as used for backsit screens in  
cars.reversing screens & the like

I'm coaching a group of 50 year old and up rowers. My digital video camera
uses Firewire. That's good for when I connect to my Mac, but I want to be
able to connect the video camera to a portable DVD player (Dick Smith) so
while we're still out on the water I can show the crew what they're doing.
Aging eyes and failing eyesight means that more than half the crew can't see
the screen on the camera.
