nab banking problems

2008-12-07 Thread Martin Sulkowski
Some time ago I enquired about nab banking problem couldn't solve it
and didn't bother then .
The answer is that it was the internetprovider .Nab had a few
customers with satellitedishes who had similiar problems and they
created a special log in side for satellite users with problems .Work
fine now

Have you tried loading in your ISPs DNS details into the DNS settings of
System Preferences / Network to see if that makes a difference?
Some ISPs it does seem to help.

Kind Regards
Daniel

I had a similar problem with Westpac.
When I purchased a new router it disappeared and all worked fine. (even
though the old router appeared to function normally)

Martin,

People have given you a lot of suggestions re this problem, BUT, you
have not replied to the list if you have tried all the suggestions.
We cannot help you more if we don't know if you have tried all these
suggestions, or what you have done to try to rectify this problem.

Rod Blitvich suggested:

I eventually wondered whether it was something to do with our router
which

was few years old.
I finally bought a new router (from Daniel) and guess what? No more
Internet

Banking problems.

and Rod Blitvich again today

I had a similar problem with Westpac.
When I purchased a new router it disappeared and all worked fine.
(even

though the old router appeared to function normally)

I suggested:

Is there a Firmware Update for your Modem/Router?
Check your Network Configuration settings in System Preferences
Network - that you have all the correct settings in your ISP's DNS
numbers.

Restart your Modem/Router.

and

You have checked your Network Settings and every setting, DNS
numbers, no proxies, etc are as before this problem happened?

You have checked that Parental Controls has not been turned on?
You have restarted your Modem?
You have restarted your Mac?
You have repaired permissions?

After doing all above, you have tried the NAB Site again and the
same problem exists?

You could try Starting in Safe Mode after having started up
in Safe Mode, restart normally.

To start up into Safe Mode, do this:
1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
2. Press the power button.
	3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the
Shift key.
Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the
startup tone but not before.
	4. Release the Shift key when you see the grey Apple and progress
indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you will see Safe
Boot on the login window

Robert Howells suggested:

Have you cleared cookies .

Safari preferences - Security - click on Show cookies - and
click onRemove All .

There may only be one causing a problem ( but which one ) and this
is the sledge hammer approach.

Quitand then Restart Safari

then check your nab site

Martin ,

We have been making some guess's that this was a working connection
that suddenly has stopped working !

Is that correct ?

How long had it been working on this set up ?

Have you changed anything ... added another Mac , or something ?
