Is it just a matter of patience needed on my part for a cache to fill?
Personally, I'd have thought that an hour was more than long enough to look
 at an address in Perth!

Hi Michael,
I'm using that version of Google Earth in Snow Leopard and it works perfectly,
very clear images.

You have not gone into Enter Flight Simulator under Tools have you?
Have you checked your Google Earth Preferences?

This is generally the case when you have zoomed in to a point where the images
can no longer resolve. Try zooming out a bit and see if the problem is
corrected. Of course, if you're not even getting an image of Australia, then
it's something else...

Thanks very much for this. I had no idea it was available. Could have used it
yesterday when a client paid good money to Landgate for an image of the same
quality and currency. Ah well, timing is everything...

Excellent site and great free service!

Thanks Ronni and Justin,

The answer to my problem was to disable the application NetBarrier X5.

Thank you for your suggestions,

Michael.
