I build PCs for clients.

Even when the specs of the PC are WAY up there, these are fast machines 
and indeed cost accordingly, comparable in price to (IMHO) a Mac of 
'similar' capabilities, in fact they will share a good deal of components.


The rub actually comes once Ive finished assembling a well thought out 
PC, all I can do for the customer is install bloody XP.


They think it is fine/great but I know that it will never realise the 
potential of the hardware Ive sold them.
I feel as though I should sell them a cheaper machine as the result will 
be almost the same. But where's the kudos in that?;)


Linux is just about ruled out for this situation as no self respecting 
Linux nerd would get anyone else to design and assemble their shiny new PC.


So it's XP yet again, sigh. At least theres Mozilla for them...
