While I didn't go and look, I'm *guessing* that this has to do with the
US export restrictions on super computers. Apple had this problem when
they announced the IIfx and at one stage even ran an ad-campaign
complete with tanks to highlight the performance.

So, while this is only a wild guess, that's where it comes from...

It's more likely that it has to be approved by Austel, as it's got a 
modem in it. This has caused delays in the past (and software patches 
for the Newton, for example, because it could make the wrong sounds 
with its speaker!).

The tank ad was for the G4's.
