Re: using itunes store

2009-03-08 Thread rkor...@iinet.net.au
Hi Chris

I have been using iTunes since it was released and find it a great system for my
needs.

Remember it also has movies, video music clips of a lot of bands and also pod
casts and some of those are great.

I have had no problem with given them my credit cards details but some people
do!

regards

Roger

2009-03-08 Thread Robin Belford
If you don't want to use a credit card, buy yourself one of the iTunes
gift vouchers and redeem it at the iTunes Store into your account
(that you will have to create).
No credit card worries and recharge when you need more music, apps,
movies etc.

Hi Muggers

I was speaking with a friend yesterday who is just so wrapped with
itunes and the store for finding songs and albums, listening to
samples of tracks then buying what he wants from the itunes store.
And

he uses a PC to do this then loads his tracks onto a small ipod and
plugs it into the best portable sound system I have ever heard!

I didnt know that all that was possible and have only today started
to

look at it. However it seems I have to become registered and supply a
credit card number. He forgot to tell me this!

I would appreciate any user experience in using this great facility
before I jump in, as I am not very familiar with it at all. I would
like to be able to find tracks and artists for the music I like.

thankyou very much in advance for any advice and suggestions

kind regards

Hi Chris

As robin has mentioned, if you don't want to you use your Credit Card with
them, you can indeed just add Apple iTunes Vouchers, which you can buy from
most places (Apple resellers, BigW, Kmart, Target, etc etc).

In saying that, Apple use a very high encryption system when you credit card
is stored, as high, if not higher then what some of the banks use. And your
card is never handled by a person, it's all done via very secure systems.

All in all, it's a great system, which is why they hold such a high market
share for online music. Many have tried, none have come close. :o)

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards
Daniel

Re: using itunes store

2009-03-08 Thread Ronda Brown

Hi Chris,

"To authorize a computer to play purchases using your Apple Account
	• Select a song, video, or audiobook you've purchased (in your
library or the Purchased playlist).

• Click the Play button."
If the computer is already authorized, the item plays. If the computer
has not yet been authorized, iTunes asks you to enter the Apple ID and
password you used to purchase the song."

"Authorization helps protect the copyrights on the content you buy.
You can use your digital rights management (DRM)-protected music
purchases1 from the iTunes Store on up to five different computers
(these can be any mix of Macintosh or Windows-compatible computers).
When you play an item you've purchased, your computer is "authorized"
to play content purchased using your Apple Account."

Cheers,
Ronni
