Photobooth bug

2010-12-30 Thread Warren Jones

A friend just pointed this one out.

Take a photo in Photobooth, then select File/Reveal on Finder...
The filename given to this file both on his iMac and my MBP is "Photo on
2011-12-30 at XX:XX.jpg" - Apple is a year ahead of itself.
(Yes our system dates are correct)

[tested on my OSX 10.6.5 on 30 Dec 2010]

Anyone else have the same bug? Does it exist on 10.5.8?

PS google shows other people had the same problem last year too from about Dec
27.

Re: photobooth

2010-01-11 Thread David Moyle

Evening Susan,

Due to the camera I don't think you'll be able to modify the Photobooth image.

Two options I can think of.
Set up an Automator script to take a photo and then reverse the image?
Alternatively use a batch processor (GraphicConverter/Photoshop etc) to reverse
the images after the time.

Cheers,

Re: Photoshop action to simulate 'Glow' in Photobooth

2008-04-01 Thread Kyle Kreusch
Hi Denise

The easiest way would be to do any Photoshop work the images require
first in Photoshop Then use the application "Core Image Fun House"
Which is part of the Apple Developer Tools

Then open the image with the Core Image Fun House Application

Then you will need to add the following effects to make the
'Photobooth - GLOW" effect

(To add an effect click the + button)

1. Gloom
2. Color Controls
3. Bloom

Then use the Slider's to get the desired effect

Photoshop action to simulate 'Glow' in Photobooth

2008-03-31 Thread Denise Williams
Hi All
I regularly use Actions in Photoshop (v8) but have been unable to find one
that resembles the GLOW effect available in Photobooth. It is an effect that
not only creates glow but also seems to add contrast, saturation and a
pulling of the histogram to the right (dark tones made darker). I have a
client who wants some large posters made from their photos with an effect
just like this. I could try experimenting and create my own Action but just
thought I'd try the wonderful web of creative brain available in our forum!
Does anyone know if there is a downloadable Action for this effect?
TIA

Mine go to "username/Pictures/Photo Booth/Photo 1.jpg"

You could do a search for "Photo Booth" to find it.
