Seasons
I'm glad to hear there's some fans out there of the color seasons. Remember, even though Barney was gone, it was still Mayberry after all. Also, my favorite (funniest) line was from Goober Take A Car Apart. When Floyd has his back to the running engine in the courthouse, he's asked to help identify the noise the engine is making. Of course, his reply is, I heard it. I heard it. It sounded like a sneeze!. Parley Baer
I enjoyed reading about the different things Parley Baer had done. I got to thinking after reading about himdid he by any chance do the voice of Ernie the Keebler Elf? Some other things I remember him doing was appearing on the Young and the Restless back in the 90's. He was part of a summer story line whose focus was the abuse of elderly folks. He also appeared in an episode of Little House on the Prairie called Sweet Sixteen. I'd have to say my favorite season is Season 4. The reason I pick that season is because of the pairing of Barney and Gomer in several story lines. Of course, that came about due to Howard McNear's illness, but there were several very funny episodes as a result. Going back to the favorite quotes posts of a few weeks back, several come to mind from season 4 episodes. Tall, dark...and a door prize! And take that gun outta your mouth A lot of folks lie at lunch, what of it? Citizen's arrest! Citizen's arrest! I could go on and on. Cheri, good luck with your Mayberry Trivia Night. Just take it easy on the casual fans and don't make the questions TOO hard! Who knows, maybe Mr. Schwump will show up if he hears you're serving root beer! Since you're camping, you should try to make a snare (Gomer has a shoelace), trap a pheasant, and cook it over a campfire made by doing some of that stick twirling (fire by constriction).
