Two Chairs No Waiting 176: Remembering Don Knotts #4 Part 1 http://wp.me/plF1Q-M0 Two Chairs No Waiting 177: Remembering Don Knotts #4 Part 2 http://wp.me/plF1Q-Mn Every year since Two Chairs No Waiting began, we have taken an episode to celebrate the life of Don Knotts and mark the anniversary of his passing on February 24, 2006. We’ll get hear a question and answer session held during an event called “Mayberry in Meadowview” which was held in Kingsport, TN in 1999. You’ll get to hear directly from Mr. Knotts as he answers questions from the audience of the Kingsport event. You will not want to miss this. The event was organized by WBMTUBB member Gary Wedemeyer so we can thank him for this wonderful piece of history! Broken Hearts and Rodney
I'd like to add a broken heart if it hasn't already been mentioned. I think Barney's heart broke just a bit when Romona Wiley (Becktauris) didn't remember him. Allen, thanks for the heads up about Rodney Dillard being in Marion. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it down there. Could you get Tim White to give us a heads up when the show will air. I really enjoy the show. I went to high school with Tim at Northside, but didn't know him real well. He's turned into a very good musician and show host. Foley
I think during the great race between Opie and the other boy for the grocery delivery job, we see the inside of the market. Bruce Lear Seth Taylor ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Foley's Market
I believe the camera was in Foley's when was trying to get a job delivering groceries, only to give the job to Billy because he had to help pay the family bills. Randy Davis Sent from my iPad ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Another Dinner Invitation
A belated 58th birthday to Ronnie Howard. Well folks, I was looking forward to a quiet evening at home tonight sitting around in my stocking feet, reading the latest National Geographic which has a wonderful story about the Disciples, and having just what I want to eat. Now that is all ruined. Friends called and invited me to dinner. It isn't going to be spaghetti. Chili. Which is darn close. The next time my wife gets a Service Hero Award and is sent to Florida I am going to keep my big mouth shut about it. This time alone I was looking forward to isn't turning out at all like I thunk it would. I wonder if the Count has something to do with it., -- Ken Anderson The Mayberry Guru 2906 May Street Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701 www.mayberryreflections.com ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
song in a book
I'm reading a little novel in which the main character is listening to a young girl playing the guitar and singing. She states that she knows the second song from TAGS and it's about love thru the seasons. I figure she means There Is A Time. I was so tickled by the reference I almost cried! I know I'm a mess. Re: WBMUTBB Digest, Vol 13, Issue 61
Today is the first day Linda has been gone. A short while ago there was a knock on the door and my nice widow lady from next door brought me some supper. Guess what it was. SPAGHETTI There was even a bread stick and salad; which was the exact meal Goober made for Andy. And it was exactly eight o'clock when she came. And wouldn't you know Linda called while she was here. Now, Ken, you're wading into some pretty deep water here. ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Photographing Mayberry
I agree that it has been very quiet on the Digest. So here is something I hope will generate some interesting discussion: If The Count could transport you to Mayberry for only one day, and IF said camera was capable of taking only ten pictures, name the ten places or things ( not people ) that you would photograph. I will start with my selection. They are not in any particular order of importance. 1. Inside Floyd's Barber Shop 2. Meyer's Lake 3. Walker's Drug Store soda fountain 4. The Darling Cabin 5. Rafe Hollister's Still 6. The Duck Pond 7. Old Man Kelsey's Woods 8. The Rimshaw House 9. Goober's Room 10.
