Continuity Error

2013-05-22 Thread DAVID QUINN

There is a much bigger continuity error at the very beginning of Episode #7,
"Andy The Matchmaker", where Barney comes into the courthouse to resign for the
very first time. It is similar to the error in "Aunt Bee The Warden".See
if you can see what it is before I am forced to tell you what it
is..

The Perfect Female

2013-05-22 Thread dbryan_19

I usually don't post a lot, mainly because I'm still a noticer in training. But
on The Perfect Female, Thelma Lou introduces her cousin to Andy as Karen Worth.
Later on the announcer at the skeet shoot introduces her as Karen Moore. I've
never heard anyone else mention this on the digest, just curious if anyone else
had ever noticed this?

Dan, I was able to see it just fine, but perhaps that was because I was logged

Continuity error in Aunt Bee the Warden

2013-05-22 Thread paulmulik
I had actually not noticed the differences in the accessories on Andy's belt.
Good catch, but that's not the one I'm thinking of.

OK, I'll just go ahead and tell you. Probably everyone knows that the Mayberry
squad car was always the latest model Ford sedan. At some point in the middle
of each season, the one-year-old car was replaced with a brand new one.

In the opening shot of Aunt Bee the Warden, we see the 1961 squad car roaring
down the road with the siren wailing. Seconds later, when the car pulls up in
front of the courthouse (with the siren still going), it's the 1962 model!
Maybe Andy got a call on the radio that his new car was ready, and he stopped
off on the way to pick it up. Doesn't seem very likely, does it?

Mayberry Squad Car for Sale!!

2013-05-22 Thread david browning
Dear digest friends, I recieved a call from a lady in New York wanting to sell
a 1962 Mayberry Squad car. Here is the email she sent at my request: The car
is a 1962 Ford Galaxie, painted flat black and white, not glossy,
with a bubble light on top, and a working siren. It has 3 speeds on the
column, and a police radio (just for show). It runs well, and is a real
head turner. It is fun to drive, and see people smile when they watch it go
by. I am asking $8400.00 for it or best offer. I would not pay to ship the
car, but would help in finding someone to ship it. The dash is autographed
by David L. Browning, " The Mayberry Deputy". Mary Ann Conlon

Using The Squad Car

2013-05-22 Thread Marguerite
Remember when Barney complained about Andy using the squad car when not on
official business? He thought he was talking to a college girl? How come he
didn't mention all the times that he and Andy used the squad car on their
dates? If he and Thelma Lou were at the duck pond (why would they want to go
there at night? You can't see the ducks) or he and Juanita at Morelli's
(everybody goes there) would he just leave them and go off on a call or would
he drop them off at home first? I assume that he and Andy, whichever was on
duty, told Sarah where they'd be in case of emergency.

Continuity Error via Paul Mulik

2013-05-22 Thread Holland Shoaf
For Pauls continuity error question.

Let me take a stab at your question. Could it be the belt packs on Andy's Belt
being in one place in one scene and another place in a latter shot ?
Holland

REF: make a game out of it. It happens during the first five minutes of "Aunt
Bee the Warden" and here's a hint, it has to do with police equipment. Put in
your DVD (season two) or find the episode on Netflix and see if you can spot
what I'm talking about. If no one gets it I'll give the answer in a couple of
days.

-ALSO
!--

In the scene with Andys hand being wrapped up. I think its my understanding
that Andy hurt his hand when he punched a wall in his house during an argument
with his wife. If so I have to say better this than hitting her with a leg of
lamb in the mouth !
