Writer's blip
Aunt Bee, It's been my observation that in the color episodes, Andy himself, has a bit of anger management issues. So I guess Andy and Helen were truly made for each other!! Thanks, Karen Pearson a.k.a My Darling Person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.wbmutbb.com/
Things that don't make sense
I've been reading about all of the discrepancies folks have seen in Mayberry. I have to go along with Gloria Bruce: who cares. It's Mayberry, my hometown. Let's not make a "moolage" out of it. Happy Saturday, everyone! Karen Pearson a.k.a. My Darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Message 1: "old" references
Has anyone mentioned "old man Kelsey?" I hear he has some woods and an ocean. Thank you, Karen Pearson, aka My Darling Person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/

A woman's Yet
Ken, All I can think of to say is. ..curious...curious. When you find out where the woman's yet is, please inform us all. Thanks, Karen Pearson My darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Pipe Smokers
Ken, As a matter of fact, I work with a woman who owns an array of different pipes and she does indeed smoke. She often says pipe smoking is a way for her to relax. Thanks, Karen Pearson, my Darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
TAGS
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Wilbur Finch from the Manhattan Show Time? We need to find out why our beloved TAGS has been all but obliterated from the face of television. Something has got to be done about this travesty! We've got to nip it! Nip it in the bud! Any ideas? Sincerely, Karen Pearson, my Darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
The Church Organ
Paul, You have brought up some very good points. I, too, cannot imagine the good folks of Mayberry wouldn't honor their pledges or at least pitch in and build Mr. Robinson his barn. I can't believe Clara Edwards would throw herself at Mr. Robinson just to get the church an organ. There are some color episodes that just aren't up to par. Lotsa luck to you and yours, Karen Pearson, my Darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
"The church organ"
I am sitting here watching the color episode on the church organ. I 've been sitting her thinking about it without my bucket. Here's my question: Instead of rounding up a few guys to make them pledge $150, why didn't the preacher take up a special offering? There are enough people in the church who could donate and they could come up with the $800 they need to make up what the church treasury lacked. Hmmmwhat do you think? Lotsa luck to you and yours, Karen Pearson, my Darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Ken's New Job
Ken, I think you should look into becoming a meat cutter. Foley's Market is looking for an experienced one. They may ask you if you are. Hope you get to feelin better. Lots of luck to you and yours. Message 5: birds
Well let's see there is the *"crow"* that Andy "eats" and shoots ol *Eagle* eye Annie (was a fishing rod but had a bird name) Dickie the bird (was he a *canary* or something?) *Owls* (in Darling episodes) *Bats* are mentioned a couple of times but are they considered "birds"? Of course there are several "*chickens"* seen and eaten throughout the series Since I don't have a bucket handy to think with, that's all I can come up with right now. Sincerely, Karen Pearson *My Darlin Person* ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Message 3: Ken's ABC's
Ken, You have way too much time on your hands! Loved the Mayberry ABC's. You should write a book. I would buy it if you wrote it. Karen, my darling person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Favorite color episode
I like threeTaylors go to Hollywood, Aunt Bee's trip to Mexico with Clara and Myrtle, and Dinner at eight when Andy eats 3 spaghetti dinners. Karen Pearson "My Darling Person" ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Prettiest gal in Mayberry
My 3 choices are:1. Miss Ellie (Elinor Walker).2. Mary (the gal Opie tries to get Andy to pick as Miss Mayberry). 3. Karen (Thelma Lou's cousin who happens to be skeet shooting champion. New Year's Celebrations
Ken, I heard that Opie was going to spend the night at Johnny Paul Jason's and they are going to stay up all night discussing old wives tales even though Johnny Paul is not married. Their snacks will be tar with some grits and prunes. Yum! Karen Pearson My Darling Person ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
re: advertising message
Cathy, What about those wonderful "handyman" men who would try and get folks in Mayberry to let them do odd jobs or sharpen knives? We all remember Mr. Wheeler (Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction). What about our door-to-door butter and egg men? How about that Orville Hendricks? And who could forget those wonderful men who delivered our milk every morning with Dolly the horse? Ahhh those were the days. But alas, I too am like you. I will not open the door to someone I don't know or at least I make my husband go see who is there. I'm safer that way! God bless, Karen Pearson "My darling person" ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Re: Otis' suit and tie
Harriet: I am was born during the late 1960's but I absolutely LOVE the elegance of the time of Donna Reed, Jim Anderson, Ward and June Cleaver, Andy and Bee Taylor. I love watching movies like "White Christmas" that have the women dressed so beautifully and the men looking very dapper. I, too, totally hate seeing youth of today with their pants down around their knees and holding them up while their underwear is gleaming white. I abhor the young women who think it's totally acceptable to show their undergarments for the whole world to see. Bring back those properly dressed people to the small screen! I miss them so! Re: Food on TAGS
I don't know about you, Harriet, but every time I watch the Kerosene Pickle episode, I get a hankering for some sweet pickles. And of course, there isn't one in the house to be found! Karen Pearson ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
