You know I watched this clip when Allan first annouced it and like the political ads Andy and Ron did, I watched it and didn't really pay much attention to the commercial I was watching the actor in the man. Andy looked healthy and happy. It wasn't Andy Taylor I was watching if anything it was more like Ben Matlock. I just wanted to mention it. I know some folks take things too serious and we lose what we wanted to keep, that Mayberry State of Mind where everything is solved in a short time all the ending are happy and everyone you meet is friendly and kind. Does Weavers offer the Return To Mayberry DVD by itself? Sadly, no. Weaver's can only offer what is produced and thus far the Return to Mayberry hasn't been released by itself (DVD or any format) as it was about 10 or so years about on VHS. I'm sure if it is ever released, Weaver's will have it for sale but they don't now. I have to share this information. I was at the Outer Banks this past weekend staying with friends. My friends told me that after we left on Sunday, their neighbor came home with a yellow lab puppy - seven weeks old. She said that it was given to Andy Griffith for Christmas by his family. But after a week, due to his failing health, he said that he just could not handle a new puppy, so they gave it to her. She works in Manteo. When I was watching the TV guide channel last night, did my eyes deceive me or did I see that TAGS was back in the 9:00 PM time slot? Yep, sure is! Let me re-issue my encouragement for us to thank the good folks at TV Land. So, if you sent 'em an email, called 'em, or left a message on the board asking them to restore TAGS to primetime, please contact them again and thank them for doing so. This may not be the site to say it this way, but I b'lieve I can express it without breaking a number rule. Remember the Bible story about the ten lepers being cleansed, and only one of them expressed thanks? (Luke 17:11-19) Whatever your religious persuasion (or not), this is an instance we should express our appreciation. I think Reverend Tucker would see it that way.
