Hi Andrew.I was looking through that list of Accessories before I posted to the list, and I just didn't see the 'restore' entry. I'm not sure I'd have know how to deal with it even so. To do a rollback Start Programs Accessories System Tools System Restore If you do not have appropriate restore points you may be stuck flattening and using the disk that should have come with your Dell system. Note, sometimes it is on a hidden restore partition and there should be something listed under Dell in your start menu to begin the process if you don't have CDs. Thanks Cheryl. With Andrew's prompt I did see the restore, but I confess I don't do restore points...Just now I'm recovering from an op and don't feel like tackling anything. But I have downloaded and re-installed Insatller, so I'm set up and ready to go [well I've tested it actually and it is fine - till the next time ;-)]. Currently I'm trying to find two programs totalling 7Gb; on add/remove list, but not answering my calls... Sounds like Windows Installer has gone belly-up because some other program has tinkered with it. David, thanks for the offer, but I have a number of Linux progs waithing for me to get round to reorganising the HDD to make room.[I have only 80G] This also means deleting unused progs which means going through and trying to remember why most are there!
