The win98 is easily passed the configuration, the shared folds
of it can be seen on both PCs. But the shared folds of win2k
 don't display at all, it
only provides the un-configured printer and Scheduled tasks for
 sharing.

On the Win2k system - did you enable the Guest account? Unless you
do that, Win2k may not allow any shares outside it's system.

I did the file-sharing for the win2k just like that in
 the win98: set
the names of PC and workgroup and assign shared-folds. I don't know to
'enable the Guest account', could you tell me something more?

On the Win2k box,
Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management
System Tools - Local Users and Groups - Users
In right panel, right click on Guest, choose Properties
Make sure Account is disabled is NOT checked and make any other
changes you want. Because my Win2k system is only connected to
my in-my-house LAN, I also check User cannot change password
and Password never expired

OK your way out, close windows. Now from the Win98 computer you
should be able to access any devices/directories you've shared
on the Win2k system. You may have to enter the password used on
the Win2k box when you're at the win98 box, but that's all it takes.

HTH,

Hugh
