Two good replies so far, can't help to add a third... I personally use Nero Burning ROM to convert the MP3 into WAV. Nero is bundled with pretty much every CD/DVD writer these days, but if you don't have it then you might as well go with a smaller download such as those freeware/demo apps mentioned previously. It will allow you to convert MP3 to WAV, WAV to MP3 and you can also edit the file to get get just a selected part and/or adjust the sound. You can get it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net.
