How about:

Specialist menu
Alternative menu
Pre-order menu

or if you're not a fan of repeating menu too much

Specialist catering
Event catering
For events

Truth be told if you have a navigation element dedicated to choices of 
menus I'd drop the menu altogether to have something like (drawing on 
your listed items already)


Restaurant/Dinner
Catering
Gourmet Dessert
Specialist
Event

etc. as menu is implied by the topic of the site/section. You could 
prefix the navigation itself with something like Our menus or We have 
a variety of menu types for every occasion.

Sounds to me like they might mean For the Vegetarian or perhaps 
Vegetarian Alternatives or Alternative Menu Selections or 
Gourmet Vegetarian or Vegetarian Diner/Dining or The Vegetarian 
Gourmet ... that's my understanding of an alternative menu when 
people cannot eat off the main menu.

That sounds good. The thing they want to avoid is people thinking that 
the food is frozen/prepackaged or that they can just swing by on their 
way to work to pick one up. These are made fresh for each 
person/function. Can we tweak that in any way to reflect that?
