Yes please!

I’ve been using Slack for Uni, the native Mac app is pretty good.

This alone looks like a bug in the repo. Does anyone know the history behind
having two versions like this? I can see this:

https://github.com/wocommunity/wonder/commit/fe953bf8a16f6af3ebd42065a576ec3846b6f80e

But then it’s the framework under Core that’s still getting the love:

https://github.com/wocommunity/wonder/commit/38290ba2874a9e6440b9bb787a01884638df791c

And the framework under Mail that’s actually getting built:

Re: mod_proxy error

Check and see that has any effect (if you have not). I’ve cases on OS X where
using a too high number just got ignored.

Another possibility is that the modules you are using were not compiled for
your specific version of Apache and platform. Beyond that… no idea.

Problems with Ponder and Wonder 7

2016-09-06 Thread Flavio Donadio
Hello, Ramsey and list!

I have just worked around some incompatibilities between Ponder and Wonder 7.

Since Loggers are now private static final in most (if not all) Wonder classes,
I added this field to some classes that were using loggers from parent classes:

private static final Logger log =
LoggerFactory.getLogger(ClassName.class);

… where ClassName is… well, the class name. :-D Also, don’t forget to import
org.slf4j.Logger and org.slf4j.LoggerFactory!

Also, in er.auth.ERStageManager, there’s a call to
ERXSession.SessionWillAwakeNotification, that is now deprecated and had to be
replaced with ERXSession.SessionDidRestoreNotification.

These changes seem to have done the trick. I don’t use git for my own version
control and only know the really, really basic stuff. I know, shame on me… I’m
gonna take a look at it and get my code up on GitHub, so I can request a pull.

Cheers,
Flavio

Which version of WO are you using?

Subject: mod_proxy

Hello,
I am trying to set up a new deployment using mod_proxy. Copied the Applocation
sample code from Monitor and getting an error on line:

WOCookie cookie = new WOCookie(_proxyBalancerCookieName, _proxyBalancerRoute,
_proxyBalancerCookiePath, null, -1, context.request().isSecure(), true);

There is not matching constructor for WOCookie. Any ideas?

mod_proxy

2016-09-06 Thread Michael Kondratov
Hello,
I am trying to set up a new deployment using mod_proxy. Copied the
Applocation sample code from Monitor and getting an error on line:
WOCookie cookie = new WOCookie(_proxyBalancerCookieName, _proxyBalancerRoute,
_proxyBalancerCookiePath, null, -1, context.request().isSecure(), true);

There is not matching constructor for WOCookie. Any ideas?

Re: ERJavaMail duplicate?

2016-09-06 Thread Flavio Donadio
Theodore,

Well… It’s one of those strange days, I guess! ;-)

I’ve just did a diff between the two project folders and found that the one in
Core seems to be newer. Then, I deleted my workspace and tried importing again,
this time I unchecked the version in Mail. Everything worked.

There’s only one error reported by Eclipse in
/ERDistribution/Components/JavaClient.wo:

Either one of 'applicationClassName' or 'interfaceControllerClassName'
should be bound.

I can say it’s working now. I’m not using JavaClient, so I won’t stumble onto
this, hopefully.

Now I went ahead and tried importing Ponder. And I am sure I’m gonna need
Ramsey’s help now, since I got 10 more errors and my R2D2W project won’t run!
:-( But that would better be in a new thread, I guess.

Cheers,
Flavio

Re: EO awake ??

2016-09-06 Thread Samuel Pelletier
Hi Ted,

The current execution of the code you posted is this:

1- The object is created and inserted

2- Awake from Insertion is called and a Security is created (it was probably
null)

3- SetSecurity is called by Person.createPerson method with the provided
Security.

So, it the Security object of a Person is not suppose to change, you can put
your guard in the setSecurity method.

2016-09-06 Thread Ricardo Parada

I just tried the ERJGroupsSynchronizer and it worked. I was worried that there
might be a delay in the synchronization such that the thread updating the user
interface might not pick up the change on time and would display the new info.
I'm curious how it does it and whether it is possible for the change not to get
to the user interface on time.

Thanks Paul and Ted.

2016-09-06 Thread Chuck Hill
Did you do the check for null after the call to super?

An owned, mandatory, to-one will get created automatically by EOF. I am pretty
sure that is what is happening and then you are creating and assigning a second
one.

I tried the first suggestion of wrapping the createSecurity in a check to see
if it is null and I got the same result.

then I moved the createSecurity method call into the init method and I get the
same issue. I could probably trick it by making the security entity not
mandatory. but as the createSecurity is in the init call, the person will
always get a security.

Theodore,

Thanks for the quick answer.

Yes, I used git from the command line (git version 2.5.4 (Apple Git-61)) with
the command:

git clone git://github.com/wocommunity/wonder.git WonderSource

The only thing I didn’t reinstall is Eclipse and WOLips, which were updated
through Eclipse’s “Help” > “Check for Updates” menu item. Everything else is
freshly downloaded.

I use this software site for WOLips on Eclipse:
http://jenkins.wocommunity.org/job/WOLips44/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/temp/dist/
 . The version I have installed now is: 4.4.20160626.51

ERJavaMail duplicate?

2016-09-06 Thread Flavio Donadio
Hello, all!

I’ve not done any development in quite some time. Now, I’m trying to get back.

I had a problem with Java versions and, after upgrading to Java 8, got Eclipse
to run again. I have both the JRE and JDK for Java 8 installed.

Eclipse is Luna (4.4) and it’s updated to the latest version, along with
WOLips. m2e was installed along with Eclipse.

Got Wonder 7.0 from git and tried to import the projects into my workspace. I
decided to start with a new workspace, since I had changed so many things
already. Importing stops at ERJavaMail (WonderSource/Framework/Core/ERJavaMail)
because there’s another one right after it
(WonderSource/Framework/Mail/ERJavaMail). I tried keeping only one, but it
makes no obvious difference.

Also, I get lots of errors in several projects.

What’s wrong here?

Hi Ted,

why not just check if there is already a value in your awakeFromInsertion?

public void awakeFromInsertion(EOEditingContext editingContext) {
super.awakeFromInsertion(editingContext);
if (security() == null) {
setSecurity(Security.createSecurity(editingContext, true, true,
true, true, true));
}

But probably you should be using the init(EOEditingContext editingContext)

Re: Maven with subdirectories within the src/main/components/ path

2016-09-06 Thread Henrique Prange
Hi Hugi,

The code is there. How it’s organized is kinda of weird, though. I’ve created a
new branch called maven-plugins-current [1]. It points to the last commit
related to the Maven plugins. You can start from that point if you want. Or
even better, you could start from a branch on my own fork [2] that already
includes some fixes.

Anyway, if you want to make changes to the Maven plugins, I would highly
recommend to extract the code into their own projects. I’ve started this task
as you can see [3], but I didn’t find the time to finish it. Maybe I can take
another look since the community interest on that matter has been growing
lately.

Re: Maven and eclipse #2 - problem with missing bundle? null mainBundleName()

2016-09-06 Thread Hugi Thordarson
Compare your .project and build.properties with those of a new Maven project.
Specifically make sure build.properties has:

classes.dir=target/classes

…and then make sure your .project file contains the maven builder. In fact,
your .project should probably look exactly like this, apart from the project
name:

Re: Maven with subdirectories within the src/main/components/ path

2016-09-06 Thread Hugi Thordarson
Doesn’t look like it’s supported in the current Maven plugin. We should fix
that—does anyone know where the current code for maven-wolifecycle-plugin
resides? All I can find online is the plugin code in the WOLips GitHub
repository, but that’s 6 years old code (and labeled version 2.1 when the
current version is 2.3-SNAPSHOT).

Cheers,

Maven and eclipse #2 - problem with missing bundle? null mainBundleName()

I can now build my application on the command-line using maven and it is

Maven with subdirectories within the src/main/components/ path

2016-09-06 Thread Mark Wardle
Dear all,

I am slowly making progress in my switch to maven. I still think it is worth it.

I am getting the following error:

 No template found for

for components held within subdirectories of src/main/components/ There isn’t
a problem for .wo directories stored directly in src/main/components.

Is there any way of supporting such an organisation?
