Re: [libreoffice-website] Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Pootle searching fails - again

2015-01-06 Thread Leif Lodahl
I think this problem is escalating.

My hope was that the holiday period could give us time to finish the
translation of 4.4 but it didn't happen.

Translating with Pootle is PITA. And for the Danish translation I can say
that we have more or less given up on it. At least two of our regular
translators has left the project (temporarily I hope) because of this
situation.

I think the issue should be raised to management level or at least be
prioritized.

[libreoffice-website] Conference web site

2014-10-30 Thread Leif Lodahl
Hi all,
I'm working on the conference web site and the first few pages are on line
now.

Unfortunately it seems that I don't have enough access rights to make it
ready.
First: The conference slogan is locked and I can't change it.
Second: The conference logo should be replaced with a neutral LibreOffice
logo until we get a proper conference logo ready.

Can one with better access than me help with this?
Thanks in advance.

[libreoffice-website] Change RSS on front page

2014-10-17 Thread Leif

Hi *,
I'm preparing a localized Danish version with the new website template.
Overall I would like to avoid English text on the site.

http://www.libreoffice.org/?SubsiteID=11stage=Stage

I would like to avoid using the English feeds and use Danish feeds. Is
it possible to replace the two RSS feed areas with other feeds?

I can a section below the choice but its empty and with no way to add
new feeds.

The relevant feeds are:
http://libreofficedk.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
and
http://forum.liboforum.dk/feed.php?f=9

Is that possible?

Re: [libreoffice-website] About download pages

2012-08-15 Thread leif

Hi Christian,
Thanks for picking this up.

I'm not a UX expert and I know that it's done by adding a new rich text
field somewhere on the screen ;-)

Thats why I suggest that we invite the design team to help determine how
we can improve the download page.

Currently I think the most urgent problem is that users can't see/find
the recommended version. The additional text thing is more like a
nice-to-have feature.

Cheers,
Leif

help.

What do you think?

Sure, but the result of that should be some kind of specification
(yay, trigger word, hate me if you want) or alternatively a concrete
patch to the site's code.

I.e. We want custom text is not enough. You'd need to state
where/how you would add it in the backend, and how/where it should be
displayed in the page handed out to regular visitors.

(As for the how it should be displayed: a final html/css example would
be very nice :-))

You need to add meta-keywords to the pages you want to show up.

I didn't know. I added the target pages to the related-tab. So I understand
that some magic keywords should be added to the target pages - right?

Are these magic tags documented somewhere? (I also didn't know about the
Paypall variable). I checked the website.libreoffice.org site before asking

Could you please check my access rights - I can't edit the fields in meta

use dl for pages that should appear regardless of what version is

dlver-3.5 for stuff that should only show up when the selected

  2. The general text content in the content field doesn't show. Isn't it

No, it is not meant to be visible. Where should it it placed anyway?

The idea of the new-style download was to show big fat buttons, no
wall-of-text, nothing that would distract the user from downloading.

True - but the translation process (from translation to update) is slow -
so I would like some way to edit free style text on that page also. If
you ask me this is a little too locked.

For special info regarding x.y.0 versions and x.y.1 versions, the

Tested and it works :-)

having merchandise for the team members and for externals to buy is
definitely on the agenda. We have already been looking into shop options,
and having local NGOs producing and selling merchandise materials is also on
 our agenda. :)

FYI I have been experimenting a little with
http://libreoffice.spreadshirt.dk . The site is not public yet, but so far
all revinue goes to the Danish community.

Just takes some time, but definitely is an important part of marketing.

[libreoffice-website] Extension website

2011-09-12 Thread leif

Hi all,
First of all a great thanks for all the work you have done to get the
sites up and running.

I have a few comment though.

Bug:
When I upload the downloadable file I'm asked for a description.
According to the field label this should be a description, but it seems
that this field actually becomes the file name.

Missing:
I have uploaded two extensions but I can't find any way to get an
overview of my own extensions. The only way to edit or submit an upgrade
seems to be finding it through the common interface. An overview of my
extensions and releases would be nice.

Comment:
I find the structure a little confusing. First I must create the
extension, then the release, and then the downloadable file. The file
must then be released. Finally I must go back to the extension and
submit it for review. My comment is that it's too complicated. Many
information (extension, release and file) are the same and some could
actually be extracted from the description.xml inside the oxt file.

In releases I have two sections: Experimental and Stable. I don't
have any experimental releases, but how can I remove that section?

One of my extensions has been translated into 22 languages. I can only
select one language or language neutral. I'll suggest that the language
field becomes multi-select.

Just my two cent.

Leif Lodahl

Re: [libreoffice-website] Windows install instructions...

2011-03-02 Thread leif
Hi Jeff,
I asked the exact same question a while ago. I got a few hints and I
came up with a possible solution after some investigation:
http://lodahl.blogspot.com/2011/02/silent-installation-of-libreoffice-on.html

Feel free to use and comment.

If the documentation project wants to use it, I don't mind. It would
though need some linguistic make over as I'm not native English speaking ;-)

I was browsing the Windows install instructions (
 http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/windows/) and was hoping I
would find some information on how to perform a silent install of LibO--but
there aren't any. For those of us in the corporate world who are using LibO
and would like to deploy the software to lots of workstations, some install
instructions would be nice. Just a suggestion. Thanks!

[libreoffice-website] Problems with sub pages on da.libreoffice.org

2011-01-13 Thread leif
Hi all,
I have discovered a strange behaviour on the Silverlight site. When I
create a sub page all text on the main page becomes link to the last
subpage.

A look the html source shows that the left navigator never closes the a
href tag.

Same problem occurs on the French site (fr.libreoffice.org)

Hi and thanks,

Can you give me a hint how to change the 'site title' and 'site slogan'?

If I right click on 'Home' and hit Edit from the menu, I cant change the
fields.

Leif

Click Danish NL Project on top of home to change the site settings.

No, I think this is what Leif does. (i checked with the de-site)
Sitetitle and Siteslogan are greyed and can not be modified with
 publisher rights.

 Volker

True and I can't publish either.

Some security settings are missing ;-)
