Slide #1 is a no-brainer. Slide #3 I need your advice on:

- Should I feature multiseat?

Any idea how to do it? Using 3 ninja panda sharing one computer?

Three hot dogs, one bun? :)

- Should I pick a spin? (games maybe?)

There was some feeling about the game spin weeks ago, +1

Hi,

Does anyone have anything planned for the two feature slides for the
front page of fedoraproject.org for Fedora 17's launch?

For slide 1, we can simply use the desktop wallpaper background and the
design team can put together a nice screenshot.

For slide 4, we can use the group photo Russell Harrison took at FUDcon
Blacksburg:
http://blog.russellharrison.com/2012/03/21/find-waldo-at-fudcon-blacksburg-2012/

But slides #2 and #3 should feature some key features of Fedora 17. Any
ideas on which of these lovelies (or other features not listed here)
should be featured front and center?

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/17/FeatureList

(/me would pick Gimp 2.8 and Multitouch support but I'm quite biased. :)
If we love more than 2 to feature we could certainly add another slide
or too, more excitement better than less right?)

I would be happy to see AS7 get some love here.

Does anyone has started anything on this?
so we agreed to feature the game spin?

I agree to Sijis, a technical slide and a user one would be great.
Is all on the Mairin hands now? (We still need to setup stg)

Is'n Freecell an exellent game?
I was really surprised when I've discovered that F17 came with some
default games… Since then I've found that I removed them all each
time.
But I agree, there are some really funny games (I am looking for 0.AD).

Gimp is fine.

In looking at the features list, I see a theme of cloud and virtual
system tools/services being included in this release.
We could look at these features and break them into 2 groups: 1)
technical 2) casual user/front-end

I would put Gimp, CUPS color, Font Config, Network Manager and KDE in
"user" group.
The cloud/vm stuff is in the "technical" category.

So my thought is maybe we can create 2 slides, 1 targeted for each
group. Is that too much or unnecessary?

This picture is great.

I have already thought about the new features, but don't really know
what could be featured. The kernel 3.0? :)
I am ok with Gimp.

Elad, you want the Games spin.. Is there any news or big update on
this spin? I am registered on this mailing list, but it's really low

I'd also pick gimp 2.8, but not multitouch - The multitouch support is
at plumbing (ie kernel and xorg) level and isn't really supported in
the desktop itself yet. It's just the groundwork for real multitouch
support.

For the spin slide, I think we should choose the game spin this time.
we already had electronics and robotics, and if I recall correctly we
had security lab as well.
If we didn't do security lab at the spin slide yet, we should do it.

Well, we can, but I prefer not to have too many slides in the main page.
