[weewx-user] Re: replacement station questions (mostly WS-2902a/WS-2000)

2020-03-12 Thread Your Name Here
Here's my update so far: not much.

The Davis started to work again after ~36 hours, then it failed again. Then
it started working again. Then it failed. Then it work for a few weeks. Now
it's somewhat failed (current winds of 20+mph and it's only showing <5mph
or 0mph).

I still have quite a few unanswered questions about that model (2902A).

I appreciate the replies and I'm still hoping I can get the rest of the
answers I'm looking for. Since Amazon has a 30-day return option explicitly
mentioned for it, I'm guessing I ought to try to just figure out the
answers myself. I was just hoping to benefit from others' experiences and
wisdom.

The problem is that the meteobridge does authentication over its web
interface. I don't see any opportunity to handle authentication in weewx.

Hi

Thanks for looking.

No, I did not edit the index file.

The only thing I changed was the skin.conf and changed the encoding to utf8
instead of strictly_ascii. This will display danish characters.

[[SummaryByMonth]]
# Reports that summarize "by month"
[[[NOAA_month]]]
encoding = utf8
template = NOAA/NOAA--MM.txt.tmpl

[[SummaryByYear]]
# Reports that summarize "by year"
[[[NOAA_year]]]
encoding = utf8
template = NOAA/NOAA-.txt.tmpl

2020-03-12 Thread Parsoli 69
Good Evening,

Recently put in place Weewx and have over-layed Belcher on top. I'm having
an issue getting the weewx.conf custom options to be seen and applied to
the skin. Such as

home_page_header, graphs_page_header, webpage_autorefresh,
footer_copyright_text, etc...

Sure had fun figuring out indentation was important. When I try to include
these in/under [[[Extras]]], the skin.conf will override the weewx.conf.
I'm sure I have formatted something incorrectly. I have modified the
skin.conf and the changes are seen on the webpage, but trying to follow
instructions so a future skin update doesn't wipe changes out.

Any thoughts? I would love to see someones compiled weex.conf file for
Belchertown if possible to see if my formatting is causing this. Thanks in
advance for your comments

Which skin?

The formatting should be as before: set in skin.conf, possibly overridden
in weewx.conf.

Look for section [[TimeFormats]] in skin.conf and TimeFormats in
weewx.conf. What do they show?

[weewx-user] Re: Looking for some new hardware

2020-03-12 Thread Ξ
I have two weather stations: TFA Opus which I'm quite happy with, the only
downside is having to change batteries often but after I connected the
console to a phone charger this isn't so much of an issue, the thermo-hygro
sensor batteries last much longer.

The other is AcuRite 01036 and I'm not one bit happy with it because there
are constant spikes in the readings of temperature and rain.

I installed it yesterday and I wonder where the value for
$current.dateTime is taken from because now the date appears in

under plots, but in the title it's changed, so far this is the only setting
I've noticed it didn't inherit from the old config v3.7.1, I upgraded using

[weewx-user] Looking for some new hardware

2020-03-12 Thread Michael Jackson
I'm looking to upgrade from my Fineoffset WH1081-PC which has shown some
issues recently with the fousb connection to both my PC and Raspberry Pi.
I am currently running weewx via an SDR and rtl_433, far from optimal as I
can't get barometer or internal temperature.

I'd like some cost effective solutions for a replacement with a budget of
say NZ$300 (currently ~US$190) that will allow me a reasonably sound
connection to a Raspberry Pi4 (4GHz model).

Thanks for any input :-)

Is that a problem or do I have to set something in the database?
I just noticed that some of the annual reports are not displayed.

This is my page www.guentherwrana.ddns.net/weewx

[weewx-user] Re: Neowx skin sample site

2020-03-12 Thread Günther Wrana

Hello this is my page http://guentherwrana.ddns.net/weewx/ but for me no
values are shown on the curves.
I would also be interested in how I change the language.
Could you give me a tip?
On the weewx.com site I have not yet figured out how to change the language
of the skins.
Thanks Günther

[weewx-user] Re: Web Server auf dem Raspberry Apache2

2020-03-12 Thread Günther Wrana
Hallo

was genau funktioniert nicht?
