RE: [weewx-user] Re: weewx-wd/Saratoga Template - date notresolving/depicting properly

2021-02-14 Thread Tim Lambert
Many Thanks for the quick response.

If we don’t thaw out here (south of Portland, OR, where we received over 1” of
ice, which has caused considerable tree damage on my property) I’ll have
something to play with tomorrow and report back. Otherwise I’ll circle back
later in the week.

Thanks again!

notresolving/depicting properly

Tim,

Unfortunately the holes in the cheese all lined up for you and resulted in a
broken clientraw.txt being generated. If no weather service is specified under
[Weewx-WD] [[Supplementary]] in weewx.conf WeeWX-WD use some default values for
a number of fields in various templates, including clientraw.txt.tmpl.
Unfortunately clientraw.txt.tmpl had a bug that formatted one of these defaults
incorrectly, and as clientraw.txt is a simple space delimited text field this
threw off all fields after the problem field in clientraw.txt. Consequently on
your site you would see some values being updated correctly on your site but
some would be incorrect.

I have fixed the bug and released WeeWX-WD v2.1.3. To upgrade just download the
v2.1.3 extension package from GitHub, install v2.1.3 with wee_extension and
restart WeeWX. After the first report cycle things should come good. If not
please let me know.

I recently installed wee-wd (https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/weewx-wd)
without issue.

When I stand up the Saratoga Template
(http://www.tslllc.com/korsherw28/weewx/mainconsole/wxindex.php) the date stamp
on the header is simply showing a numeric value (the time stamp is correct).
The same is happening with the date directly under the radar.

The value that is being displayed for the date is the same value that is
showing in the clientraw.txt file generated by the weewx-wd plugin/skin for
weewx.

Any ideas as to the underlying issue and how to resolve -- noting I'm simply
looking for the date to be in the format of m/d/Y.

Thanks in advance!

- Tim

 Good evening.
 Last night Sitegroung did an update of their site tools.
 I had to create a new FTP account, but now, entering the new parameters
 in the weewx.conf file the files are not updated.
 I state that weewx updates normally locally, but files are no longer
 transferred remotely.
 Here are the parameters in weex.conf:

 [[FTP]]
  # FTP'ing the results to a webserver is treated as just
 another report,
  # albeit one with an unusual report generator!
  skin = Ftp

  # If you wish to use FTP, set "enable" to "true", then
  # fill out the next four lines.
  # Use quotes around passwords to guard against parsing errors.
  enable = true
  user = m...@meteomestre.it
  password = _1] ck13k @ hju
  server = meteomestre.it # The ftp server name, e.g,
 www.myserver.org
  path = /meteomestre.it/public_html # The destination
 directory, e.g., / weather

[weewx-user] weewx-wd/Saratoga Template - date not resolving/depicting properly

2021-02-14 Thread tim lambert
weeWX v4.4.0 (installed using setup.py method)
Raspberry Pi 4 (32-bit OS)

I recently installed wee-wd (https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/weewx-wd)
without issue.

When I stand up the Saratoga Template
(http://www.tslllc.com/korsherw28/weewx/mainconsole/wxindex.php) the date
stamp on the header is simply showing a numeric value (the time stamp is
correct). The same is happening with the date directly under the radar.

The value that is being displayed for the date is the same value that is
showing in the clientraw.txt file generated by the weewx-wd plugin/skin for
weewx.

Any ideas as to the underlying issue and how to resolve -- noting I'm
simply looking for the date to be in the format of m/d/Y.

Thanks in advance!

- Tim

Re: [weewx-user] FTP error

2021-02-14 Thread Tom Keffer
Things to try:

   1. Your value for 'path' looks a little suspicious. Perhaps you mean
   '/public_html'?
   2. Does your server require FTPS?
   3. Make sure you have necessary permissions on the remote server.
   4. Your password includes several spaces. Is that correct?
   5. You posted your password. You should change it.

[weewx-user] FTP error

2021-02-14 Thread ginfo...@gmail.com
Good evening.
Last night Sitegroung did an update of their site tools.
I had to create a new FTP account, but now, entering the new parameters in
the weewx.conf file the files are not updated.
I state that weewx updates normally locally, but files are no longer
transferred remotely.
Here are the parameters in weex.conf:

[[FTP]]
 # FTP'ing the results to a webserver is treated as just another
report,
 # albeit one with an unusual report generator!
 skin = Ftp

 # If you wish to use FTP, set "enable" to "true", then
 # fill out the next four lines.
 # Use quotes around passwords to guard against parsing errors.
 enable = true
 user = m...@meteomestre.it
 password = _1] ck13k @ hju
 server = meteomestre.it # The ftp server name, e.g,
www.myserver.org
 path = /meteomestre.it/public_html # The destination directory,
e.g., / weather

[weewx-user] Re: Guide on how to configure the Oregon Scientific WMR89/89A station.

2021-02-14 Thread Petr Jirmus
Hello.
Thank you "ACommonMan" for working on this. I confirm that this manual is
still functional.
I just connected my old Oregon wmr89 weather station.

OS: Running a Raspberry Pi Zero W.
WeeWX 4.4.0. installation from a DEB package.

*Differences from the above installation of the WMR89 driver .*
*https://github.com/matthewwall/weewx-wmr89 This driver didn't work for me!*

I used this: https://github.com/tkeffer/weewx-wmr89 *!!no need to modify
this driver!!*
This is actually a driver from the user "fcauwe" modified for the
installation of OS from a DEB package.

*Step 1 is different:*
*Use Download the .zip file from ... https:
//github.com/tkeffer/weewx-wmr89*

Then follow the step by step instructions "ACommonMan"

I hope I can help other WMR89 users.
Peter

Re: [weewx-user] Looking for guidance on how to modify the Current Conditions section of the 'main page' of WeeWx

2021-02-14 Thread Tom Keffer
The Cheetah template for "Current Conditions" is the file
/etc/weewx/skins/Seasons.current.inc. When the processing of templates
occurs, it will get "included" into index.html.tmpl.

So, if you wanted to add the current conditions for a new type, say
something named 'myobs', to the bottom of the list of observations, you
would add the highlighted lines

...
#if $day.extraTemp3.has_data

$obs.label.extraTemp3
$current.extraTemp3

#end if

My new observation
$current.myobs

This assumes, of course, that the type 'myobs' exists in the database
and/or the archive record.

Interesting, I have not yet released v0.5.0. I presume you have installed
from master, you should be safe but use anything other than a release at
your own peril.

[weewx-user] Re: wee_report error

2021-02-14 Thread gjr80
Hi,

Whilst you upgraded to WeeWX 4/python3 it looks like you are still running
the Realtime gauge-data (rtgd) extension v0.3.7 which is not compatible
with WeeWX 4/python3. You need to upgrade rtgd to at least v0.4.0, I would
recommend upgrading to the latest version which is v0.4.2
.

Since you upgraded to python3 you might want to check any other
extensions/add-ons you have installed to make sure they are python3
comp[atible as well.
