Re: [weewx-user] Re: raspberry pi3 installation completed, a page displayed and no update

Hello,

Yes it is the MariaDb version that I had installed.

The config and syslog files are located in this folder:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/osg6aiqspyts5ju/AADI6aws4ljAYTUhyP9Pkpqia?dl=0

Therefore :
"screen / dev / ttyUSB0 19200" works as expected.
The weewx database is indeed created with a first and unique
registration and sends by FTP to https://cambier.eu/meteo/weewx/

After a reboot, some recordings were added.
The time status is ok: "
pi @ pi-meteo: ~ $ timedatectl status

  RTC time: n / a
Time zone: Europe / Brussels (CET, +0100)
System clock synchronized: yes
   NTP service: active
   RTC in local TZ: no
"
After 5 minutes 15 minutes of data has been added to
https://cambier.eu/meteo/weewx/

This stops at 12/06/20 23:55:00

Earlier, you posted part of the system log. However, it is important
that you post the log /from startup/. Stop weewx, then restart. Post
the log from startup through the first reporting cycle. Instructions

Re: [weewx-user] tag of the age of the moon (in days)

2021-03-30 Thread Blaise

Well no, Tom,

This tag gives "the lighting" of the moon: 100% = full moon, 0% = new moon.
So it goes from 0% to 0% (new moon) via 100% (full moon). It does not
indicate the age of the moon, since we do not know where we come from
and to what we are going.

I had the same idea: "#set $md = int (($almanac.moon_fullness / 3.45) +.5)"

PS: What is the difference between "$almanac.moon_fullness" and
"$almanac.moon.moon_fullness"?

An other idea ?

thank you,

The link I provided had two distinct steps. First removing the
batteries from the console to reset the console, if that does not help
then the second step is to use wee_device to first dump the logger
contents (this is important as it maximises the chance of recovering
missing data) and then clear the logger memory. Did you do any of
these steps? What were the results? Note you need to stop WeeWX before
running wee_device.

I don’t see how plugging in another station will recover any missing
data, at best you will have a mix of data from two different stations

Hi,

Perhaps it is the language barrier but I am not quite sure what you
are asking. As I understand it you have some CSV format data you wish
to import using wee_import. Your data has a field named Date that
contains date-time information for each row.

If that is the case you need to set raw_datetime_format to match the
format used in your Date field. The default format is %Y-%m-%d
%H:%M:%S but you should change this to suit the format of your data.
For example, if your Date field contains date-time data of the form
21:55:00 22 10 2021 you would set raw_datetime_format = %H:%M:%S %d %m
%Y. If the format was 21:55:00 22 Oct 21 you might use
raw_datetime_format = %H:%M:%S %d %B %y. It all depends on your data.
The available format codes and their meaning are listed under
strftime() and strptime() Format Codes
.

One other thing you will need to do is set the mapping of your Date
field to the WeeWX dateTime field. You do this by including
a/modifying the dateTime setting under [[FieldMap]] in your CSV import
config file. In your case something like the following should work
(untested):

4. Once your RPi3 boots and runs, do a new weewx install
5. once weewx runs with the Simulator driver - shut weewx down, copy

over to the RPi3 and restart weewx. It should then run.

Yes, that's what I also thought: a problem in my IP adapter. (the LED no
longer flashes)

Fortunately I have a USB adapter in a corner. I will change that.
Thank you Tom

I am guessing that you are trying to connect to a Vantage station
through an ethernet connection. Your computer is complaining that
there is no path to the IP address 192.168.0.13.

1. Is this truly a Vantage with an IP logger? They exist, but they are
very rare. Perhaps it is really a USB or serial logger, and you
specified the wrong type in weewx.conf under [Vantage].

2. If you truly have an IP logger, make sure you have the right IP
address, and that your router is letting you access it. You may have a
firewall problem.

"lsmod" does not see much.
And when I try this with "insmod", it's not terrible.
Sorry, I'm far from being a Linuxien guru

pi@PiMeteo:~ $ lsmod

pi@PiMeteo:~ $ insmod /dev/ttyUSB0

So the pi is seeing the device, but it is not allocating a tty in /dev
to it.
You might just need to insmod a kernel module so it assigns a device
in /dev to it.

Check your 'lsmod' output and see if the ftdi_sio device is loaded.
If not, load it with 'insmod' and see if that helps.

Sorry to have bothered you (your sigh)
I have been self-taught since 1978. With my financial means, I learned
to program on a Ti-57 (49 programming step!) Then a pokcet-PC limited to
2 kB and 26 variables. We learn to be concise.
But you know like me that IT is vast. And that you cannot be competent
in everything.

Thank you for your help and to animate this group.

Hmmm, you may have a non-standard schema.

Try this:

*sqlite3 /var/lib/weewx/weewx.sdb*
sqlite> *.schema*
sqlite> *.quit*

Do you have a null value for dateTime in your database?

Here is how to check.First, make sure you have the tool sqlite3

*sudo apt-get install sqlite3*

Then use it to find null values

*sqlite3 /var/lib/weewx/weewx.sdb*
*sqlite> select dateTime from archive where dateTime isnull;*
*sqlite> .quit*

There should not be any null values.

Re: [weewx-user] Where to modify the final timestamp?

2023-03-11 Thread Blaise Cacramp

As in fact, Tom, the Datetime field was no longer in 1st position.

I placed it properly while keeping the additional field in 2nd position
and it still did not work, even by placing it in the last position.

I have resolved it to delete it and it seems to leave, in any case, no
error message.

However, he no longer read the new data ...

I did a wee_device --dump and (no clear memory) and there, everything
seems to work.
Probably your latest version is strict, because it worked before and for
quite a long time.

I would put this field in a separate and linked table

Thank you Tom

I have no idea what I'm looking at there.

The requirements for the database are:

 1. The first column must be dateTime.
 2. The value for dateTime must never be null.

Does your database satisfy these two requirements?
