Re: [Wesnoth-dev] Releasing 1.3.3
Okay, the issues with the filepath stuff and the editor seem to be fixed for my OSX. Now the log output on OSX is basically the same as on my linux box. How does it looks about the Windows version? Did any other blockers occur recently? If there are none, I would like to tag in ~10h (7pm, GMT+2/CEST). If anyone is against this, leave me a message in irc or send a mail to the ml. I would like to have some feedback from the Windows desv among us, too, to make sure it works as expected. Cheers, Nils Kneuper aka Ivanovic PS: The stuff in the topic about filesystem.cpp of course is still valid and right after a release we are really free to break things again. So that would be the time to get boost in and maybe start rewrite some smaller stuff. ___ Wesnoth-dev mailing list Wesnoth-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-dev

I have heard of display glitches and can't look at them before tonight so if you could delay for a couple of hours i would be gratefull On 5/25/07, Nils Kneuper [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Okay, the issues with the filepath stuff and the editor seem to be fixed for my OSX. The reorganization didn't break savegames at any point when I was doing it. So I think we're fairly safe there. Okay, that is good to hear. * Any probs left due to the reorganisation of data/? Terrain editor is failing at startup. This is almost certainly due to a wired-in path somewhere, but I have not found it yet. Yes, it currently is broken and I would like to wait with 1.3.3 until it is fixed. Looks like some more rewrites will be needed to make the game and the editor behave in the same way... I have a report that the po/FINDCFG scripts need to be fixed, but the only one I looked at looks OK. What subset of cfgs are these supposed to generate, functionally speaking? Are they generated at configure time from something else? Lack of comments in them is a problem... I did already fix the FINDCFG stuff. These files are only used when running a pot-update to determine which .cfg files have to be scanned for a textdomain marker. So normal users do not even realise they are there, only use dudes running a pot-update do feel the impact of problems in them... Okay, again in short: I will wait with 1.3.3 until the editor gets fixed, I hope it happens soon... [Wesnoth-dev] Releasing 1.3.3
Hiho! I want to get 1.3.3 out tomorrow around lunchtime. To be more precise: Friday, 18th May, 12:00 GMT+2/CEST. So if you have anything left to commit, do so now. If there are any blockers for the release you know that you can't fix yourself until the release is sheduled, please drop a mail. Known problems that will exist in the 1.3.3 release: * Utbs partly broken due to the rewrite: There is even a message about this in the selection screen. * TsG might be broken: It already has been problematic for quite some time, this ain't a real reason, is it? * Will saves work with the new version? No idea if the reordering of virtually all stuff in data/ has any bad impact on savegames. Beside this: people should know that we tend to break compatibiliry between the single dev releases. ;) * Any probs left due to the reorganisation of data/? No idea, would be good if you tested it a bit more so that we know it if any probs are left. Quite some were already fixed though... So if anything is left, please drop a mail about it. It got broken after the start of the reorg. Due to the svn issue with copies requiring network downloads rather than disk copies, my resync this morning didn't finish, but I will try to test it tonight. ___ Wesnoth-dev mailing list Wesnoth-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-dev
