[WestNileNet] Music, community and health

2012-07-18 Thread Christine Munduru
Dear all, research has proved that people who have community connectedness
have less chance of getting stress-related diseases and that music is
therapeutic. Thinking along this line, *Science Cafe Uganda in partnership
with Amazon Pub in Entebbe* is inviting you for an African Nite @ Amazon
Pub Entebbe(former Kaikai, the most famous Lugbara joint that ever existed
in Entebbe) to listen to African Music from *A *(Ayidjo) to *Z *(Zikondo) on
20th July starting 8pm. Entrance free and beers will be 3000= only for this
Nite.

This has been special request from the West Nile elders who want to
remember the times they enjoyed, come and share with them. Mr Amori John,
the chairman of West Nile community Entebbe has already mobilized the
elders. The community in Entebbe is warmed up to that day. Come and connect
to the community to release stress.

DJ Blouse and Uncle Nyax will be in the house doing what they do best.

Miss if you must

Re: [WestNileNet] WEST NILE STRIKERS ASSOCIATION

2012-07-18 Thread anthony ajiku
To the extent that ''groups'' and ''associations'' to administer strikes
(pre-planning) exist in our schools in this day and era (with representation
inter-school) is really deplorable...
My take closely related to Elly's, its prudent such collections of rogues
should be quashed and dismissed with the contempt they deserve, strikes can
never be a  sustainable approach in solving problems of any magnitude.

This clearly explains some of the reasons for the dissmal academic performances
from our schools over the very recent years, its clear that students (may be
some) have misplaced their priorities.
I can not agree more with Elly, but only concur that this responsibility lies
in all of us, meet and talk to students in there individual capacities, in
there groups, in there well meaning associations, places of worship or in what
ever other relevant clusters, this might among other modes and methods be
usefull..otherwise this trend is worrying and as the adge goes ''the worst
might as well be yet to come''

Friends,
We may not learn from our past but it is important that we learn from the
mistakes of others.
Strikes seldom help students save to worsen the already poor academic standards
in our region.
As you folks ponder over the loose students right movement, there is also what
is called West Nile Strikers Association. I am told the leaders are based in
some of the schools already that went on strike. I can't prove that this
association exists or not. But find out from students.
Friends, it time all of us should take serious interest in education in West
Nile. Please find time to meet students individually or in groups to find out
what they need in order to improve their conditions of learning.
May i challenge the different old students associations to come together and
discuss this with students leaders, teachers and heads in west Nile. We need an
education forum.
Save West Nile.

Dear Members,
Student strikes in our schools is increasingly getting to dangerous levels. St.
Josephs college Ombaci has just resumed after closing the school for a couple
of weeks this term. Vurra secondary got into one before Ombaci. Yumbe secondary
is currently  closed. I am told a planned strike by students was aborted in
Mvara secondary last week. If I am not mistaken, Nyapea secondary is closed.
We
may ask ourselves, what is happening? I am told the students are using a
social media platform for mobilization from one school to another. It seems
they are using the free internet access offered by telecom services on every
phone. I am told the students have formed a loose umbrella body that is
spearheading what they call fighting for the oppressed. In a Arua, one called
Kal is said to be the secretary general. Kal is a student of st Josephs'
college ombaci. The police are investigating this movement and identifying the
ring leaders for further questioning.
What is your take?

COMMON SENSE IS NOT ALWAYS COMMON

Internet crime is prevalent and virulent as virus. Who has not seen the
Nigerian Big Money Stuff. promising to wire millions of Dollars to your
account.  Does this kind of stuff excite anyone?

If you are desparate to be a millionare without working hard to become one,
you  are probably heading into the WRONG DITCH OR TRAP. How many people truly
believe you can become rich without hard work?  Richness is earned through hard
work or you inherit it from wealthy parent or relative.

Recently, there are  numerous crimes from Eastern Europe and China infiltrating
the Western World with WORK FROM HOME JOB ADS. Many fake companies have been
set up which appear legimate. They ask you to open a bank account and give that
account number to your account number to your "presumtive employer"

Next, they write a virus program (TROJAN HORSE) which transfers money from
various accounts to your account, pay you off as promised but they take a chunk
of money to their own accounts in Europe ( Romania, Poland, etc) and China.

Who is the Victim of THEFT? When FBI, Interpol, other Security organs  TRACK
DOWN Internet thieves, you become an innocent victim.

Nutshell, if you dream of becoming rich without working for it, You may have to
consider going to live on MARS or other PLANETS where man have not
explored/exploited the minerals yet.

HACKING HAS BEEN ON RISE FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS OR SO. YOU ONLY NEED TO BE WISER
THAN THE THIEVES

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS PROBABLY NOT TRUE

[WestNileNet] BE INFORMED

2012-07-18 Thread Mickson Abati

Dear Friends,

Good afternoon. A friend has sent me this and I immediately thought of you my
dear.
Have a great evening even as you take a short while of your time to send this
to friends you know.

Remember United we stand and (divided if you choose not to send to any person)
we fall.

Blessings.

Dear friends,
BE INFORMED
I know you may love watching movies but for Christ sake, don't get tempted. The
movie Corpus Christi is due to be released this June to August. This disgusting
film is set to appear in America later this year and it depicts Jesus and his
disciples as homosexuals! As a play, this has already been in theatres for a
while. It's called Corpus Christi ' which means 'The Christ Body.' It's a
revolting mockery of our Lord. But, we can make a difference. That's why I am
sending this e-mail to you. If you do send this around, we may be able to
prevent this film from showing in AFRICA. Apparently, some regions in Europe
have already banned the film. We need a lot of prayers and a lot of e-mails. As
a Christian I want to take a stand in what I believe in and stop the mockery of
Jesus Christ our Savior. At the risk of a bit of inconvenience, I'm forwarding
this to all I think would appreciate it. Please help us prevent such offenses
against our Lord. It will take
you less than 2 minutes to pass it on.If you are not interested, or do not
have the 2 Minutes it will take to do this, please don't complain when God does
not have time for you, because He is far busier than we are.Remember, Jesus
said 'Deny Me on earth and I'll deny you before my Father'
