[WestNileNet] Party for in-coming and Out-going RDCs for Arua district
Colleagues, My view is we should have one celebration party for the two VIPs in the office of the RDC in Arua. At the same party, we shall welcome Mr DEBELE, and also bid farewell to Mr ABIRIGA. Brothers and sisters, at this stage, we should work towards unifying our people who have been divided by selfish 'leaders', hence it does not matter which political party one subscribes to. When I am paying my taxes, I pay to the government of Uganda (my custodian), NOT NRM. When the my taxes are being misused, it is my hard-earned money being wasted not NRM money. I do not agree with others who seem to imply that the out-going RDC does not deserve applause. Let the district leadership committee draw a budget and then reach out all well-wishers (not necessarily Westi Nilers or Arua district for that matter). Invite district Leaders to grace this party. Eminent invited guests should come from all the religions, all political parties, opinion leaders, the disadvantaged groups and others. Regarding funding, certainly the core funding should come from the district. Cheers!! Sebastian DISCLAIMER: This message is private and confidential. I think it id a good idea but the timing shd be changed. We shd organize a party for Abiriga as well. He has been harsh but tried his best based in his literacy level. Let us also appreciate the little he has done. Re: [WestNileNet] Appointment of Peter Debele as RDC Arua
This is a most welcome idea. The appointment of Mr. Debele is welcome. As noted, this may bring some sanity in many ways in the administration of the district and in sorting out some local issues. However, he will need support. He can be a leverage in some ways. We need to play our cards right and ride above many petty divides and embrace our diversity as a tool to spice our local, regional, and national development. Congratulations Mzee Debele. I will make my contribution to the committee which will be charged with making operational this plan. -Original Message- From: "Patrick Ezaga" Sent: 10/02/2014 07:27 PM To: "A Virtual Network for friends of West Nile" Subject: [WestNileNet] Appointment of Peter Debele as RDC Arua My 2 cents Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android From: Patrick Ezaga ; To: ombaci...@googlegroups.com ; Subject: Re: Appointment of Peter Debele as RDC Arua Sent: Mon, Feb 10, 2014 4:22:58 PM Thanks Lino for spearheading this. Re: [WestNileNet] Appointment of Peter Debele as RDC Arua
Ladies and Gentlemen, I do not understand as to why "We" should contribute anything to this welcome "party". I personally and sincerely congratulate Mr.Dibele and the people of Arua upon his appointment to the office of RDC after a very long time of having a non-starter as RDC but contributing sums of money for this 'party' after school fees season is a troubling. Why cant the owners of the money(NRM party) square the full expenses? Someone(not the mouse) can surely approach the NRM party and inform them that the "people of Arua are very happy' with the appointment of their son to this position and should they want more votes, they should comply(not vote buying). In any case, 'other' people are given free money to the tune of billions, why cant we just request a small amount of 50M for celebrations? Personally, I will not contribute any money but I shall be there enjoying the meat and drinks that follow whether I am invited or not.
