Alun'gase Aleli or someone,

Please do us the honour of "unpacking" this (chuckles!!) I don't think
my "rusty" attempt will do it proper justice at this time (more
chuckles!!).

Language and Cultural Guru Aleli, over to you first!!

Hi Margaret,

I was already rejoicing that you had come back to tell some of us what it
meant. I initially thought it was an e-alarm you were sounding in the
middle of my night. I realize I'm going to have to ask someone in Arua Park
tomorrow morning.

Re: [WestNileNet] 3 West Nile organizations shortlisted

2014-05-26 Thread banduga ismail
Dear Christine,

Thank you for this wonderful work so far. One other thing I think you could do
to increase the chance of our organizations is to guide them on the
presentations if you have an idea of what the other side is interested to see.
I am not sure how composed our organizations are and whether or not they have
made such competitive presentations before. keep it off record.

Dear members, out of the search I made in through the listervs, three
organizations from West Nile managed to be shortlisted for the next stage of
meeting the representatives of the donor face to face. I received profiles of a
number of organizations from West Nile and sent all to the donor and only
PICOT, RICE and WENLICE managed to go the next stage. Independent people did
the assessment based on the clarity of the information you submitted. It was a
national assessment and you are the few from otuside Kampala based
organizations that succeeded, congs.
I wish you all the best in first week of June in the discussions with the
donor. I will be in the meetings but your presentation will determine your fate
because I will not be one of those making final decisions after your
presentations. Just do your best.

Thanks

Re: [WestNileNet] Update on Hepatitis B campaign

2014-05-26 Thread Christine Munduru
Dear Cliff, just calm down, we cannot do without such people. For me their
negative energy is actually a driving force.
We are moving ahead with the few interested and we have formed a technical
committee in Entebbe who from last Friday is going to sit every Friday to
chat a way forward. I am going to include dr. Aldo in the group, please
feel free to let me know if you want to be part. A month ago I was in a
Conference in Connecticut, US and I was impressed by one presenter from New
York times who said that change is caused by the few people who are
considered "abnormal" at the edges of the normal distribution curve, the
rest in the middle who consider themselves "normal" are resistant to change
and if you want to cause change, dont waste your time and energy on them.
I love this principle, so let us not dwell on people who drive alot of
negative energy and yet they cannot move anything. Otherwise we shall just
be empty tins making too much noise for nothing.

Blessed day
Christine
