RE: [WestNileNet] "Districtimania"
Dear all, As a novice of our history, i thought ours is a loose arrangement of (united) clans that together form each of our 5 ethnics in West Nile. The counties such as Terego, Ayivu, Maracha, Vurra etc have been (colonial) political constructs. It’s appalling that some few in our generation would work selfishly to entrench these recent political creatures as a sort of separate ethnic entities to dupe our people towards self destruction. We have more in common and we are Moru Madi, Sudanic, Nilotic and Ugandans. Whoever among the polity and our elite are peddling this petty and pitiful hatred and nepotism, driving wedges to divide us must be very ashamed of themselves. I’m sure we all agree that this state of affairs must be strongly condemned, resisted and shunned by all of us. We need to continue in unity, to explore all progressive options and channel our efforts to develop West Nile. RE: [WestNileNet] Task Force
Dear all, brothers/sisters, Mid this week with erratic email access while on the move, i begun receiving your postings and thank you for adding me to the mailing list. I encourage all of us to bring Westnilenet to the attention of as many like minded folks out there. I believe there are many who are unaware of this important forum that will enable us to exchange information to promote the interests of West Nile. I have noted with much concern the free fall in performance of sometime very good schools in West Nile. This situation constitutes a fundamental threat to the future of West Nile and the sooner this is tackled head on, the better. I appreciate efforts to constitute the task force and we look forward to working with all of you in implementing concrete measures towards this end. On another note, i received with sadness the death of the son of Mr Etima and our prayers and thoughts are with this family. Awadifo emini and best wishes. Onzivu.
