However, it is true that Vector does seem to have implemented a lot of breaking changes, some of which don't seem to have a good rationale. This is most likely because you have Gadgets enabled that are not compatible with Vector yet, this will lead to execution errors. For me a common cause here is the assessment script due to the changed CSS id of the talk page tab.
