Closing as probably fixed. A minor criticism on bug management: at the time when Jeffery and I reported this, it was a totally debilitating bug, a blocker. This was not a 'blocker' in the sense that we use it, though obviously for a (seemingly very small) number of installations/situations it was a serious bug. Glad to hear that it works for you now; unfortunately, as we don't know what the root cause was, we can't proove that it's not going to re-occur.
