TASK DESCRIPTION
  When editing Wikidata, the default language is English unless the prefered 
language is translated, I'd like to have the option to change that to match 
items. The general gest is that if an item has a property pertaining to 
language (P364 , P1412 
, P6886 
, etc.), then links to said items 
should be shown in that language. Possibly only do this with help languages to 
avoid showing users etiquettes in a script they can't read or a description in 
a language they don't understand. That won't be helpful at all.
  I too often read items that pertain to an inherant Danish or Russian subject 
for instance, and it really rubs me the wrong way and is sometimes confusing 
that the etiquettes are in English. Especially when I know what the thing is 
called in the local language but didn't know what it was called in English.
  The point still stands that if I'm reading an item about a Bulgarian or 
Georgian subject, the idea that the language that the other untranslated items 
(e.g. people, organisations, companies) will be in is English is a bit silly to 
me. Either give me the option to choose which language(s) I can prioritize in a 
hiarchy, or develope this option that I just detailed above.

  The reason was not really data saving, the main reason is that we don't know 
the set of triples to delete. There are no ways to ask Wikibase to output the 
RDF data of a deleted entity.

more appropriate.

  Thanks for the advise, most of the streaming process of this application is 
keyed indeed. I haven't thought about using the CEP api provided by flink it 
sounds very flexible. As for this particular task I'm hoping that recent flink 
1.11 that unifies periodic and punctuated watermarks 

 will help. I'm curious to see if checkpoint times are reasonable even when 
backfilling from these two streams (we just switched over from eqiad to codfw, 
so it's probably the right time to work on this issue to see how it behaves)

  @dcausse Dunno if this might help but could a simple window help or where you 
use KeyedProcessFunction 

 on a KeyedStream?  If the stream is unkeyed (or initially so), then the other 
thing might be just finding the patterns in the stream and CEP 
 
would help.

  First results of the investigation, regarding WikibaseManifest information on 
Federated Properties enabled Wikibases:
  
  - the Manifest should include some notion of the repo's entity sources in 
order to be useful for both Wikimedia Commons (mediainfo) and third-party 
Wikibases with Federated Properties
- on Wikimedia commons, the entity sources for Items, Properties and 
Lexemes would be wikidata.org
- on third-party Wikibases with Federated Properties enabled, the entity 
source for properties would be the federation source repo
- an example for the configuration of entity sources can be found in the 
Federated Properties documentation 

- RDF prefixes could also be included in WikibaseManifest, as described in 
that Federated Properties document
- a section such as [[ 
https://github.com/wmde/WikibaseManifest/blob/master/docs/examples/docker-default.json#L30
 | `entities` in the prototype examples ]] may be a good place to include 
entity source information
  - other than that, the WikibaseManifest should //not// include any info that 
is specific to the Federated Properties feature, such as 
`fedearatedPropertiesEnabled: true/false` or 
`federatedPropertiesSourceScriptUrl`
  
  Additionally, a third-party Wikibase with Federated Properties enabled could 
not only be a provider, but also the consumer of WikibaseManifest, when reading 
it from its federation source repo. This way, settings such as `rootScriptUrl` 
and wiki namespace IDs could be taken from the Manifest instead of having to 
configure them manually in LocalSettings.php. However, at the moment Federated 
Properties repos are using their local namespace id for properties, instead of 
the federation source's property namespace id. Also, as long as 
WikibaseManifest is an extension and not reliably part of Wikibase core, it is 
of limited use for Federated Properties enabled third-party Wikibases.

  The property suggester is only taken into account when scoring an Item live. 
It is not taken into account when scoring an Item in the dump. We want to 
understand better how the property suggester influences the quality scoring. In 
order to do that we compare the accuracy with and without the property 
suggester signal available.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  As an analyst, I want to know where a query is coming from to better 
understand the behaviour of our client.
  
  Tagging query logs with the source (UI or direct access) should help us 
understand better the cost of queries from bots vs humans. We might implement 
that from HTTP referer, or a more advanced bot detection algorithm. Analytics 
already has such algorithm for web requests, it might or might not be reusable 
in this case.

  The pipeline was able to resume properly using the last successful 
checkpoint, this kind of error should self correct once we enable the right 
retry strategy.
  We could investigate increasing such timeouts and possibly see if we're 
affected by https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-8803 but I wonder if 
this is worth the effort.
