Sadly, haven't had time to play around with it and now your saying it's using Google's OCR bits is sadder. I do remember though, that about a year or two ago, there were some negotiations being held between wikimedia and Google to foss some of the unicode bits from Google. I don't remember the entire conversation but do recall there was some talk of Google using the Apache License or something. @Subhashish, Thank you for the link. I would take a look at it. If it's compilable under GNU/Linux it might be a good tool for unicode OCR usage in general use too. Otherwise most of the community member not aware that what you were planning to resolve. Are those above application most needed wishlist from Indic community?
