Hi

I have some concerns about your criteria of experience. It is only
considering the online activity but is completely ignorant towards the
offline work. Following the information on meta, I wouldn't qualify for
instant registration. I registered earlier, but there might be others
interested but won't meet the criteria requirements. If you are extending
the option of instant registration, it should be open to all wikimedians.

Thanks,

Hi Bodhi,

Thanks for sharing the updates, and the program has interesting sessions.

I just feel that the eligibility threshold for instant registration is too high
- 5,000 global edits is too high for instant registration. I believe it can be
lowered, especially since it is an online event, and won't add too much to the
costs. My reasoning is last minute registration may generally be by people who
are not very involved, and may not know about the event. People from other
movement-aligned groups such as Creative Commons, Mozilla or even GLAM
institutions might want to attend, expecting them to have a lot of edits might
not be reasonable. A lot of newcomers may also get excluded with this.

Please see if this can be reconsidered.

Best,

KC.

Best,

KC.
