Re: Witango-Talk: purgecache?
Hi Russell, Yes you would need a <@purgecache> for each instance of server running. There is a pdf called Witango 5 Professional Server Configuration Guide, available via witango.com or from: http://www2.witango.com/downloads/ProfConfigGuide.pdf It contains information on how to direct requests to a specific server. (I also did a demonstration of how to do this at the conference.) Once you have switched to that server you can run <@purgecache> for that server. In the Witango 5 Admin App there is a feature to switch to a different server but it relies on your clients.ini being set up correctly. If you run into any problems please contact me. hi, does anyone know about <@purgecache> in a load-balanced environment? do i need to hit each server with a <@purgecache>? heya, in your witango.ini file it says: CONFIGPASSWD=XX where XX is your password. before you can do some actions (like reloadconfig and purgecache), you have to set a password for them to work. you would do that like this: <@ASSIGN NAME=user$configPasswd VALUE='XX'> <@purgecache> hope that helps! Re: Witango-Talk: Crashes on OS X
Crashes occur on regular base, if something in the JDBC envirmonment is changed and you do not restart the server. Sometimes even if just a new field was added... Server 1 never crashed for a long time Server 2 started crashing (witango crash) about once a day. Those crashes abated for about a month and returned. the crash log always indicates it's an odbc issue, though I can't figure out anything more than that. Server 1 just started crashing. It's about once ever few days. Crash log is different than server 2. I don't know what these things mean or what I can do about them, but if someone can read the gibberish, I'd appreciate some clues as to what I might do (in either case).
