NX clipboard handling was very buggy before I revised it last year.
Having a clipboard manager (that leads to more clipboard requests and
events by its nature) triggered those bugs more often than not.
Meanwhile I tend to say that's not a problem today. But that one
problem with chrome Neal was mentioned must be examined.

Re: [X2Go-User] keyboard config on wayland

2020-06-20 Thread Neal Becker
I updated nx-libs on client (F32) and server (F31). I'm running copyq on
both. It seems bi-directional copy/paste are
working fine (at least ATM, in the past it's been flaky so we'll see).

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, but there's no 3.5.99.24 there.  Should I file a bug
report asking Orion to update the Fedora package?

What are the problems created by the clipboard manager? I've generally
used Klipper (on EL7 at least) without much issue.

Is it just nx-libs that needs an update?

I have seen slow (but working!) clipboard with chrome, too (and
without any wayland being involved). So this might be a chrome issue.

Actually it's worse (and weirder) than I thought. If x2go client is
running, cut/paste doesn't work anywhere on my client side, not only within
x2go client. I just tried
cut/paste between tabs in chrome on my client (not within x2go) and nothing
happens. I then shutdown the x2go session on the client, and tried the
experiment again,
and now I can cut/paste between tabs on chrome.

[X2Go-User] keyboard config on wayland

2020-06-18 Thread Neal Becker
Both client and server are Fedora (31 and 32).

I'm running a kde/wayland client, with capslock mapped to ctrl.
When I connect to the server (running mate) everything works fine, except I
don't have capslock mapped to ctrl.
Every time I connect (not every time the session starts) I have to run
setxkbmap -option caps:ctrl_modifier

Oh actually one thing doesn't work. Cut/paste is totally nonfunctional.
