Also, the 3+ is a currently manufactured item, whereas the 3 is not. I suspect the 2 is older yet. I don't know about the 2 but there is no difference between the 3 and 3+ when it comes to xastir. For the most part any TNC that does KISS will work (with a couple of minor exceptions that the Kantronics don't fall in to).
