[xmail] glst
Hello, Finally, I compiled the glst modules by adding Davide's mkdep scripts and a .depend file. Then I run it by adding this line "/var/MailRoot/bin/glst" "--mfile" "@@FILE" into the filters.pre-data.tab. Then I run xmail under debug mode. I can see that the filter is triggered but it give retcode = 2. Does the filter run correctly?? Am I right? I still don't do anything with them, just log them in the lame-db. They could be used to create IP blacklist automatically though, especially when shared between many GLST setups. In theory they could feed a system when those info are analyzed, and feed a DNS based GLST derived blacklist. Of course, to do that, some sort of authentication will have to be in place when accepting lame-db data. - Davide - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Looking at the patterns I see here in the glst-lame db, only one attempt is made in the delivery phase. On top of that, DCC requires the full message to be received, on the contrary of standard greylist implementations (like GLST) where the message is blocked at tha DATA handshake. - Davide - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[xmail] Problem with Received IP Address
Hi All, I am having a problem where the IP Address I specify at the command line when starting up xmail is not the same as the IP address showing up in mail headers under Received. /I'm making the #s up for simplification:/ The servers main IP Address is 222.222.222.222 (and this is the IP address that keeps showing up in the received header): Received: from 222.222.222.222 ([222.222.222.222]) by mx.gmail.com with ESMTP id 71si194406rnc; I start up xmail with the command line options -PI 222.222.222.223 -SI 222.222.222.223 (and this is the address I want to show up in the headers). Also, the domain *mail.mydomain.com *resolves to 222.222.222.223, and in my server.tab I have specified "RootDomain", "SmtpServerDomain","POP3Domain" and "HeloDomain" all to be *mail.mydomain.com*. So, it is obviously causing a problem to other mail servers when they see an email coming from mail.mydomain.com which resolves to .223, but the IP address on the received is .222. Any suggestions?
