Re: [Xpert]Re: Trident CyberbladeXP @ 1400x1050
Hi All, Just tried the new binary. Works great! Thanks much! I am also using a Toshiba Tecra 8200 and am experiencing the same pixel shift problem: The first ~ 5 pixels that should be displayed on the left side are being displayed on the right side. What exact model of machine you have. b. If you see this shift problem. Should it appear that all of you have this problem I will hardcode the fix in the driver. Re: [Xpert]Re: Trident CyberbladeXP @ 1400x1050
Actually, i never noticed it until now, but I've got sort-of the same thing. BladeXPm8 on a 1024x768 screen, 16bpp, the screen is -just slightly- shifted to the right (ie, i get about 2-3 pixel wide blankness on the right, and on the left i seem to be missing about 2-3 pixels. I looked briefly at the code in CVS just now but didn't see an obvious fix... Obvoisuly, not a big deal ;) This is with the binary from alan's page circa 1 week ago... I haven't had time to try the CVS version.. I will tongiht. john.c On Thu, 4 Apr 2002, kiss the sun and walk on air wrote: > On Thu, Apr 04, 2002 at 03:29:00PM +0100, Alan Hourihane wrote: > > This code is now in CVS. > > > > But for those who need 4.2.0 support, I've updated the driver on > > http://www.xfree86.org/~alanh. > > > > You need to specify > > > > Option "Display1400" > > > > to use it. > > Excellent! Excellent! Thanks! I just tried it on my laptop (toshiba tecra 8200) with a 1400x1050 screen, and the display is shifted by 5 pixels or so to the left. ie the first 5 columns of pixels that should appear at the left of the screen appear at the far right hand side. This code is now in CVS. But for those who need 4.2.0 support, I've updated the driver on http://www.xfree86.org/~alanh. You need to specify Option "Display1400" to use it. Alan. ___ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert

Might it be possible to make the width of the screen 1400 - shift amt? At least until you get your hands on a system to test. fwiw, if you have an idea of what the problem may be, I would be more than happy to attempt a fix. -peter -- (peter.royal|osi)@pobox.com - http://pobox.com/~osi jabber/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] - icq/ 153025 - aim/ osifx - yahoo/ osi_fx your brain on life - http://fotap.org - incubating msg05088/pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature
[Xpert]Re: Trident CyberbladeXP @ 1400x1050
I've added preliminary support for the 1400x1050. I'll probably commit my code next week. I had it tested by someone and it seems to work basically. Unfortunately the display seems to be shifted by a few pixels. I will only be able to address this if I have actually access to a system. Regards, Egbert.
