Re: [zamanku] Re: BBC: Prophet cartoon row in Indonesia
--- On Thu, 11/20/08, Ketut <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Ketut <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [zamanku] Re: BBC: Prophet cartoon row in Indonesia To: zamanku@yahoogroups.com Date: Thursday, November 20, 2008, 7:03 AM Kl masalah meminta maaf, saya kira bukan karena kuat atau lemah, tapi masalah kearifan. SEDIKIT KOMENTAR mengenai 'depiction of the prophet of Islam' - anehnya di abad ke-15 (A.D.) di zaman Empirium Ottoman banyak lukisan berwarna dari sang Nabi yg beredar dan dipajang di buku2 terbitan zaman itu. Check the main library at your university or city for listing of illustrations of Muhammad. I saw a series of such illustrations depicting Muhammad riding Al Bouraq (with the face of a pretty woman, no less!) and his meeting with the angel Gabriel, etc. Gabriela Rantau --- In zamanku@yahoogroups.com, Jusfiq Hadjar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Astaga... > > - > > > > > > BBC NEWS > Prophet cartoon row in Indonesia > By Lucy Williamson > BBC News, Jakarta > > The Indonesian government says it has called on a blogging website to take down two cartoons which depict Muslim Prophet Muhammad in sexual situations. > > The communications minister said the drawings were "very inappropriate", and said if necessary he would ask internet service providers to block the site. > > The cartoons, which appeared on the website last month, have provoked fierce debate among viewers. > > Many Muslims believe it is forbidden to depict Muhammad in any form. > > The two cartoons, which are several pages long, each tell a sexually explicit story involving the Prophet, interspersed with verses apparently lifted from the Koran. > > Indonesia's communications minister described the cartoons as "very unethical and very inappropriate". > > He said the ministry was asking the website to remove them.
