my sympathy is inversely proportional to the artists' marketing budgets.

thanks for this link! this is such a great mix, I would kill for a
tracklisting.
Few I recognised:
-? (sounds like some Space or John Carpenter synth thing... Escape from New
York soundtrack?)
-Gino Soccio - Remember (Atlantic)
-?
-? (that INFAMOUS classic tune they played to death on Hotmix-5 shows...)
Proffit
Could it be Eddy Grant - Time Warp?
Somewhere towards the end I also recognized Metro Area 3 (environ).

what a coincidence--i was playing that track last night.
it's Ma Foom Bey by Cultural Vibe (W Jones and E Jones). I have the Tony
Humpries remixes on East Street Records from 1986. The mixes are better than the
original.
the original has been re-released recently on the S12 series that is in

The first track almost sounds like three blind mice on acid, honestly
listen for it.
Still listening to it so I'll wait for it to finish before I pass judgement.

Yep also got Nairobi at the weekend. I have to say that I agree with

reminding me of Landcruising somewhat.
I picked up something on KMS by Olivier Kaiser (?) anyone know anything
about this particular artist?

This is a new 2 x 12 inch on Warp
Everyone on 313 should be aware of the wonderfulness that is Ference ;-)
I've seen him play twice (in Detroit and Rotterdam) and I'd looove to
see him again sometime.
Yeah a track listing would rule! I'll CC what I THINK is I/F's e-mail
and we'll see.
One issue of track listing -- probably only
Derwin Hall told me during the DEMF he was getting active in producing
again so I wonder if he had some involvement in this.
I was very happy to meet up with him again -- the D-Ha releases from
the 1994 era are some of my favorites as far as Detroit house goes.

I-F is playing tonight in manhattan with ullyses. i'm not sure if it's meant to
be public knowledge or not. anybody who is interested email me privately. i'll
ask the promoter. if he says ok, i'll pass out the details.

Yeah,
I'm also really interested in the track that comes in at 1hr 27mins 30 secs.
It's got like African/French vocals over a sleezy acid b-line that sounds
kinda like a low flying plane. Someone must know this one???
Thanks heaps for posting that Pit.

This is a new 2 x 12 inch on Warp by a 'mysterious Detroit based Artist'

3rd September.
Same label released Denver McCarthy's Rise Shine album a
year or two back: 100% quality techno. A must-check if you missed it.
Actually Denver McCarthy is a nice combo between deep house, ambient, and
melodic techno
Anyone who likes Denver's stuff might like to check out his and the other
