I have bought some, but there's precious little in the way of electronic
dance music (Gescom aside).
There were some Miles Davis remixes that were pretty cool though...

Hello.
Record shop questions;
Is that branch of Reckless? Records (was it Reckless?) that used to be in
Islington still there?
Also - not been to London for a bit, Atlas and FatCat
Hi,
KJ's pictures of DEMF 2002 were already online, but recently we also added
the pictures made by Marie.
You can find them here:

Thanks to John Sokolowski, we were also able to add
Keep the laptop you have, it's fine for music. Get into a pcmcia audio
interface of some kind (Hammerfall, Digigram, Echo, etc...) and a usb midi
interface. I have an Inspiron5000 (P3-750, 256MB RAM, Win2k) and a Dell

Reckless is still on Upper Street (just around the corner from my house),
but Fat Cat is no more. I'm not too sure about Atlas though - the last I
heard was that it was still going, but that was quite a while ago.
As for second hand shops, there are a few around Islington - most of them

the 'structure of an axis9 record' described on
axisrecords.com does not apply to axis9cd
though i think actual is brilliant, it may have
been an 'ordinary' axis release as well...
there is, or was, a description of the whole process/intent on the axis

There's also 'Koomba'. On Berwick Street, W1. Same side as Reckless, in fact
no more than 70 yards towards the street market from the Reckless branch
which does indie (there are two on the same street).
Seems quite newly-opened. Great selection of KDJ short-run issues plus very
very comprehensive

Thanks to all the London heads for the record shop tips.
I meant Berwick St when I said Wardour St, but considering I can't remember
what I did yesterday, I guess that's not bad going.
Andrea Parker is playing at a Wide booty/electro night at District, near
Hackney Central, on Friday night... there are one or two 313ers going to
that one (including myself). Entry is free before 10pm, but Hackney Central
is hardly the best location...
