Ryan Burns:
is the recent repress of the climax remastered??? because all the mixes i
have heard of the track sound awfull because he recorded it on a cassete
tape.
Was the sound quality on the original really so 'bad'? In terms of dynamics,
I doubt there is any real lack compared to the average

Morning list,
My mate Laurence is after a few house and techno track IDs - he's stuck
little clips up on this page:

If any 313ers can spot any of them he'll be eternally grateful...

Will probably raise some controversy but the new Kenny larkin on
Peacefrog is worth every penny of the 14.99 I paid
Jus listening to it now...
Emotional Detroit techno at its very best.

Is it only one track again?

I only heard the clip on the Peacefrog site, but I didn't like it at all.
The tinkly sounds on it were really irritating and the strings were a bit
cheesy and obvious. Usually, I'm a big fan of Kenny's records too.
I was tempted to buy one anyway to stick on e-bay, but decided it wasn't
fair to
I just got mine in the mail, £19.10 for US orders (that's about $35.00) -
but I'm not sorry one bit (I got #119 out of 400) and I have to say that
when I listened to the sample I wasn't impressed either but I went ahead
and ordered because I had faith (and a bit of wedge to spend).
Turns out
You see, as with the Hood and the Moodymann private pressings, the rationale
would make sense to me if the tracks were clearly so much better than
anything on the LP's which followed soon after. In my opinion, that was not
the case. Not to say that these tracks aren't great. They are, but I really
Wonder if anyone has any info on this... it is on 'pin up girls' label
and has 3 very Detroit sounding mixes..
Take me away pin up girls remix
Tech me away
Take me away - dubbed up mix
Cant find it on discogs...
For anyone that has the sting on acid ep, it looks like the same label
as
I have this on Network records. Its by Jeff Mills and James Pennington if I
remember correctly. Massive housey club anthem from back in the day. There
was also a Nexus 21 remix on it.

I've got two copies of that - one on Paragon and the other on Network. Neither
are credited to the Pin-Up Girls though, they're both credited to Final Cut
with True Faith.
On the offchance... do any of these Pin-Up Girls mixes have the chords from
E2-E4 on them?

That's right it's a Jeff Mills classic with Brigette Grace
a must have for house heads. Most people didn't know it was
a mills track so you may be able to find it. Sorry I can't sell
my copy
