last night I caught the end of a documentarty about Joe Bussard, called
Desperate Man Blues. He's an obseessive collector of 78s from the 20s and
30s - meant to have the best collection in the world. he has spent his life
driving around in a pick-up going to flea markets and knocking on doors
i've met joe many times..he's a blast to talk to, fired up old guy. he is a
longtime friend and customer of my dad's. my dad has spent, and is still
spending his life doing the same thing. there were a group of these guys in

I wasn't really that into the Paul Randolph album much- there's also a
couple of new Theo mix CDs out and the new Chateu Flight 12 is nice
too- they have an album as well- it's all over the place style wise but
incredibly well produced. New Pyschostsia release is pretty incredible

I just didn't want to wind you lot up by saying yeah he was OK - good but
nothing really special!
One thing that strikes me reading Tristan's report from London is that it
sounds like he played pretty much the same set, can't be too critical
Just noticed that Piccadilly have samples up for the

assume this is the one that Mr Bond has been dropping
hints about for a while (Alex?). It sounds incredible,
cant wait to pick up a copy this week (Jason - you
