non-irony to our recent threads.

I read in UK Vogue that there are now clubs orientated to melancholia
- one in Islington called Feeling Gloomy and another called Loss run
by the Last Tuesday Society. That's pretty cool. I wonder if anyone
had heard of them? They look a bit Sloanie to me, like where you'd
meet minor Brit

I was thinking they sounded goth but I think there is a subtle
difference with these. I am thinking they could be tied in more with
the neo-folk thing?

Laurent Guarnier started coming to Detroit a long time ago, and is a
huge fan of detroit techno. Bone has great stories about Laurent

I remember Laurent performed at a party here in the wrong

one of his 'all night long' set for the re-opening of the Rex Club :

There are other interesting gigs the next days too.
What else is going on in Paris these days, is there much good techno about?
I only ever hear about nights at Rex and very occasional ones at Nouveau
Casino - are there many less obvious nights happening as well?
In fact, what's happening in the French scene generally at the moment,

Not too sure about the French scene overall, but I picked up this live
album by I:Cube the other day that is really fantastic. Kind of a
minimal house/techno affair that is more atmospheric and less dry
than, say, Luciano's sound. Apparently he recorded this live set at
the Planetarium in Paris
I definitively confirm this.

It's gone quite a good deal past that. IDM-l is pretty tame these days
and this one gets the b*tchlist award amongst any I'm currently haunting.

I think most of the list is tired of all of it... it's got nothing to do
with music and all to do with ego and conflicting personalities.
this is really pushing me towards unsubbing
