Hi!
Put simply, mixes by Larry Levan or Walter Gibbons are usually dope.

Hello!
I know Mad Mike's version and that's not what C2 played in Uppsala, Sweden, a
couple of years ago. I think it's Carl´s own version -the beat never starts and
the riff is doubled by some sort of bass sound, and the melody repeats forever,
right?

Hello Nik, Ken, and anyone who might be interested!
Here are the pics of the waveform where Amazon drops out.
First a view of 600milliseconds (approx. 3.33 into the track) with the
drop-out(s) right in the middle:

i agree that rough edits and jazz-type unexpected stuff is great

Hello!
I don't know if there's a complete list anywhere, but there's bits of info all
over the Internet. I could name the most (over)used pieces of gear:
The most important drum-machines were:
Roland TR-808 (Kraftwerk:ish electro, the clean futuristic sound)
Roland TR-909 (the house beat)
The b-side, Soul Power, is an old previously unreleased z-track isn't it? At
least it's many years old...

Hello list!
I've been away for a couple of months but now I've got two track-id questions:
On Rolandos For Those Who Know II the track kicking in at 32.57 mins. Fat
b-line and nice harmonies.
And
On Theo Parrish's Contemporhythms 1 the track appearing at around 30 mins. I
think it's
it's love and happiness!!! willie mitchell is the producer. the rza used to
sample his stuff all the time. the dirtiest, deepest funk...

Hello 313ers!
Would somebody like to help me get this straight: When you speak about the 1st
