trying to make a jazz mix for my grandpa for his birthday... not having
an easy time, what with my subpar dj skills and all.

i've got an X-session... although i'm probably not the most
knowledgable person to ask about it. i use it primarily for video
mixing w/ the max/msp/jitter environment. lotsa knobs to twiddle.
lotsa programmable button/knob configurations. can handle a good
amount of physical and verbal
temptations - psychedelic soul
dj shadow - endtroducing
dan bell - button down mind
stevie wonder - songs in the key of life
speaking of stevie, just heard the album by yesterdays new quintet.
not too shabby methinks.

sorry to re-post this question, but i'm craving some new music that
i've never heard of before, and there's no better place to ask than
here.
as for me, i've recently discovered DeepChord and Docile Recordings and
i'm loving them both. buy on sight as far as i'm concerned.
playing right
i'm a big fan of the self-titled album (can't remember what label it's
on). there's one other guy along with thomas krone in porter ricks
isn't there? i thought one of them did the beats and one of them all
the ambience. i could be wrong though. favorite of all time by them:
track 2 on
correct me if i'm wrong, but most of the noise i'm seeing today is in
the form of complaints regarding noise. kind of ironic, right?
delete takes a second. let people say what they want to say. noise is
an inherent part of any community, online or real life.
and here's my attempt to start
hey, i'll be playing some tracks for my school radio show right about
now.
what to expect: good detroity track selection, amateurish mixing

remix of moskow diskow? i can't seem to understand them... and i need
to know for school (for real.)
thank you kindly,
tom
haven't been able to stop listening to Mood Music for the Moody lately,
especially A3 Here There Nowhere. and suddenly i'm reminded: i'm on
a quest for Songs for My Mother and Songs for My Father. are these
still being printed at all? or am i at the mercy of ebay?
tom
not exactly 313-related, but it might be of interest to some of you.
my apologies if it's already been posted.

Anyone know what the deal is going to be with bringing video cameras to
the Music Festival? Am I going to be tackled by a sweaty security guard
and have my camera confiscated? Just wanted to know beforehand if anybody
has the info. Thanks a lot
